I should mention that you mentioned that the badges were easy to get. The badges are dropped in BC heroics, which is something that most people in level 80 can't do (Solo BC heroics) So saying that getting those badges was like facerolling BC heroics is inappropriate. Don't believe me? Go solo Hellfire Ramparts heroic at level 80 with WotLK or even early Cata gear. Go on, I'll wait. Sure, in cata it's easy or with raid gear, but try with dungeon or faction reward gear from WotLK.

@NotSid17 tanking isn't actually that messed up, once you figure the new stuff out, it might actually be easier then before.

@Valbiorn It's definitely not easier, but it's not bad once you get the hang of it. You just have to find a new rotation that works for you. For instance for me on my warrior, I've learned that charge -> rend -> thunderclap -> cleave -> devastate is working very effective for multi mob tanking. And since cleave and heroic strike isn't on a global cooldown it allows you to instantly cleave or heroic strike right after a devastate goes off which can result in some pretty awesome threat spike.

We still got Heroic LK 25 this week but we had to a whole lot of comp changes. Our pally that used to tank the adds went Ret because pallies CD's suck for shamblings now and I tanked them on my warrior. We dropped our second holy pally in favor of another disc priest who out tank heal them now and had to do some dps switching. So raidings possible just annoying as fuck.

Hmm, they made alot of changes. I really hadn't read up on any of the cata changes. Looks interesting but, I don't see it being enough to get me to go back. Alot of scribes must be crying about the glyph changes, I used to make hundreds of thousands of gold from selling glyphs. Ive been playing prot warrior and damn, this patch was a godsend. Single target threat is crazy now, and managed to get a 49k shield slam crit in ICC25 last night. My OTing pally hit 53k. Its just insane. Ok warriors aoe threat still kinda sucks, but no change there really.

As for what im doing, raiding when I can, and pvping on my 66 ele shammy. Damn blizz loves shammys cos mine now crits 6k lava bursts, at 66!! I dont know about you, but that can 1 shot most people at that level :o

I'm still raiding and farming heroics. It's not really that bad. Some threat issues on my DK tank but it's mostly cuz some DPS need to calm down a bit and wait so I can hit the freakin mobs. If I get first hit, it's a non-issue.

You should also mention that T10 can be bought with justice points now since they merged frost and triumph, so you should be farming heroics and raids for JP to get your T10 and 264 vendor pieces so you can rape out the gate once the new content goes live.

I raided with my guild last night, and ICC was rather buggy. Coupled with the fact that we were learning our classes again we didn't do nearly as well as normal.

The one fight that was easier was Heroic Lord Marrowgar who on 10 man is the most painfull heroic in the wing. With the new health pools we breezed though him with no deaths.

Tank agro wasn't that much of a problem providing that the dps weren't being idiots.

Also, heirlooms will not function about 80, but are good for alts still.
