  • Hahaha u pimped out his helmet ....so funny

  • Thanks for sharing! Did Gregory do physical therapy while in the helmet, to restore normal flexibility of the tight neck muscles on the left side? You are right, Gregory is a cutie pie. Congratulations on the correction. I will be sharing this video with parents of infants/toddlers that could benefit from doing helmet therapy in addition to their PT with us.

  • flat heads unite!

  • Thats soo cute!!! I have a flat head, too bad they didnt have this in 1979

  • YOU ARE ONE COOL MOM! I hope I get approved through insurance so we don't have to pay out of pocket because she is borderline with facial asymetry, right anterior bossing, right posterior flattening. My girl is GORGEOUS but I can't and WON'T accept that she will have to live with a misshaped head because of money or insurance!

  • lucky for some i have a stupid shaped head

  • This helped a lot thank you and the remake of the helmet a must do for me and my 4 month old just pink and girly

  • Hello. I was wondering where you got the helmet painted or what type of place can do that sort of work?

  • Great vid - a light hearted approach to what many parents feel very strongly about. It is very common (at least here in the UK) for GPs to dismiss flat head syndrome (some even denying the existance of these helmets!) The key to success is to act while your baby is between 4-7 months old. The older the child, the more difficult it is to correct. Keep smiling - and remember, it's worth it in the end! :)

  • for some reason, I can not hear anything on the video. I just hear music and some mumbeling? But, I can sure see your beautiful baby. He is amazing and so are you for going with your gut!! Is it possible to send me another link for the video?

  • HELP PLEASE!!! Your video hit home. I have a 8 month old who looks just like your son. He was diagnosed with flat head syndrom, saw 2 rep. docs in LI & both told us he did not need the helmet. His head is not getting better and we are very concerned & alarmed. Seems as an identical situation. Did the helmet helped your son, is 8 months 2 old 4 helmet to help? Please, I beg you to contact me minalorusso@aol.com or 516 766 5505. Your son is beautiful with an amazing dispostion & smile!

  • if you want to prevent this from happening, wear your baby.

  • @gxkj I wear my baby and it still happened. Can't wear her when I sleep at night.

  • My son Bobby went thru the same thing in 05, but we only wore it for six weeks. Bobby was a textbook case and he is now used in their advertising for Cranial tech. Perhaps you saw his case. I have vids of him all over You Tube. Blessings!

  • iloveyour video! i barely noticed my baby had a flay head. my uncle kept telling me he had a weird head but i didnt believe him. who wants to believe something is wrong with their babies right? i have an app. in 4 days i hope i can do something for my 2 month old.

  • Also, just wondering to those of you who are saying you have flat heads as adults, could you maybe post a video on youtube to show us what it is like, I have looked and looked but can only find pictures and videos of babies with the condition

  • My daughter had plagiocephaly too, my doc took one look at her at 4 months and said it was minor and would improve by itself......it didn't. She's now 3 and the flat spot is noticeable when her hair is wet, you can't tell otherwise but it still bothers me that I should have got a second opinion. For those of you who feel your childs head shape just isn't right, please do not hesitate to do something about it!!!

  • thank you for posting video, I made appt for my 4 m.old son for next week

  • i really enjoyed your video...and painting the helmet, great idea!!

  • ...and yes we "fired" the doctor.

  • I took things into my own hands and he now at 17 months has helmet, and we are seeing results but not as much as we would have had we been recommended to go in earlier.

The health insurance company doesn't cover it because it wasn't done within the first 1 year.

Moral - if your doctor brushes off your plagiocephaly, take matters into your own hands. IF YOU DO WAIT, most of these helmet companies won't even treat you after 18 months. Time is not on your side.

  • If your kid needs this, get it done. Our son had torticollis early on. We did therapys, talked to docs, discussed his head shape with them. As far as the head shape goes, they always said that it would go away. Low and behold IT DID NOT GO AWAY. At 1 year old my wife asked them what to do about it, and by that time they said "oh it's only a cosmetic thing now". EXCUSE FRIKKIN ME!?!?!?!

  • mine is pretty round except for one little spot. its like a dent lol i must have spent most of my time on the side of my head. i dont really care but its interesting to know how it got there

  • i have a little flat head in the back but its not that bad

  • can you tell me how you customized the helmet? my son may have to get one and im very upset, soing allot of research

  • lmao NICE.

  • i was born with a flat head

  • @honorioberluga Join the club. I fucking hate it. I don't even know if I can cure now that I am teen.......

  • i have one too but not super flat but a little

  • he is sooo cute!

  • is it anyway possible for a teen to fix a flat head??

  • i nvr got this wen i was kid.... my right side is soooo flat... T.T im probrably only one that has it so severe

  • i have this and i never got helmet now im 13

  • Thank you for posting this video! My son will be getting his helmet in a few weeks and this video has made me feel a lot better. You did a great job of explaining the need for a helmet and yes your son is still cute!!!

  • he's freakin adorable and his helmet rules! LOL

  • This happened to me as a child! i never got a helmet.... My parents didn't care! lol its alll good though!

  • really i had the same thing too =)

  • I wish I would've seen this before my daughter got her helmet. She just got hers off and we are pleased with the results. It was hard not being able to kiss her precious head for 3 1/2 months though!

  • Hi,

This is such a cute video.

My son may need a helmet. Your son's helmet is soooo cute :)

Where did you get your son's helmet decorated or if you decorated it yourself, what did you use and how did you use it.

    Thanks

  • I designed it and had it painted at an auto body shop - that had experience airbrushing motorcycles and motorcycle helmets.

We just finished our helmet process and the results are amazing. It was well worth the 2 months.

  • Thanks for making this video and for offering it to others to help them understand the process. I've definitely forwarded it to family and friends to explain my baby's future helmet.

  • Oops, didn't realize Cranial Tech posted the video! Well my message is for the mom who made the video! Great job! And I love Cranial Tech too!

  • I LOVE this video! Great job! We go to the same Cranial Tech office as you! I actually just saw you at our last visit. You were on your way out so I didn't get to say hi or anything and at the time I hadn't seen this video, otherwise I definitely would have said something. Good luck with the helmet! Your son is a cutie!!
