my only question is: who was getting stabbed on the bed at 0:22 , the woman on the ground at 0:23 and the person being stabbed with the umbrella at 0:27 ???
This actually makes sense to me now. When you have multiple personalities or any neurological disorder it starts during childhood and that child stays with you for the rest of your life in the deep recesses of your mind. He would as a result be the most powerful one since he's been around for so long.
Well, the whole film was interesting, intriguing, sometime even scary but I didn't like the ending. Why the hell a movie must have a bad ending in order to become "masterpiece" or classic of genre? Anyway, I loved the film. John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, John Hawkes, Alfred Molina, Clea DuVall and all others did a great job
You gotta be pretty goddamn evil to kill your own mother...

@TheFragile1992 Those were Malcolm's original victims. He was having the flashbacks in the scenes you mentioned.

"What was that? I can't hear you through the metal grating which apparently absorbs sound like acoustic foam and bulletproof glass."

Notice how they don't show the kid saying "whores"? I wonder exactly what they had him say when he was on camera.
