@jarmbru I've played it at a house session where it was well received but not at a pub one. It has good volume, which is a plus, as is the light action. On the other hand, it sounds vaguely banjo-like which could be a plus or minus depending on how you feel about banjos. This is my favourite busking mandolin, loud and shiny.
@jarmbru It's made by Republic but I don't think they are making them anymore. They were made in Asia and seem to be identical to the Recording King brand that shows up on E-bay.
Thanks. Yes it's tuned in standard mandolin tuning. The body is little bigger than a regular mandolin body though because it's a guitar sized resonator cone.
We have no comment...I guess. We have witnessed your performances, publicly and at home, over the last decade or more, and we are impressed with, and not at all surprised by, the additions to your repertoire that has accompanied the growth of your instrument collection
Have you ever played it at an Irish session? How'd that work out?

Don't you still rely mostly on your good looks and charm to win performance approval?
This instrument is as shiny, loud, weird-looking and attention-getting as yourself, Little Bro. And as well-played!

Thanks....I guess.:)

Lovely sound, better than I expected having never heard one of those. Shiny. Well played.

Thanks. This is my main busking instrument. It's shiny, loud and weird looking: a perfect attention getter.
