this is a dumb test, the mannequin is immobile and is not kicking its feet or moving at all for that matter. sharks are attracted to movement such as a fish in distress or the kicking and flailing of a diver/swimmer. i cannot take this test seriously, but that is just my opinion.

What you should try using is use a flesh dummy: a dummy that has the density similar to that of the human body. The hosts of the show Deadliest Warrior use those all the time to simulate something that of the human body. and, when i watched some of the other vids you have, try putting a heart beat into the dummy. First try it with the low heart rate, then try it with the high heart rate. This idea just came into my head so, try giving it a shot..... if you can.

Sorry is it me or does this make you realise how silly the human being brain is. Every attack on humans by the Great white is either on a surfboard etc or paddling like mad in the water releasing toxins that the shark can smell therefore leading to aggression.
Putting a dolly in the water made of plastic that does "NOT" move is hardly going to cause the same reaction as a person right?

Exactly.... sharks are not stupid at all. Sharks sense human heart beats and they can sense it from far away. Since it was a manikin, they know that it is not a real human being. There is no heart beat in a manikin. Sharks are not stupid. They are predators and they eat whatever there is for the menu that day due to the fact that they will be hungry. this is the worst study and conclusion ever. "the shark bit the manikin, but didn't eat it" No kidding, maybe because sharks don't eat plastic. It's like fish biting a lure, and realizing it's plastic. If the shark bit it like it did, and it was a soft fleshy human like what it looks like, it would have had a meal. The fact that a human looking doll worked as a shark lure is pretty compelling evidence humans are tasty treats, despite not even moving or smelling like a living animal.
