Additionally, it is best to download MalWareBytes from a computer that's not infected. Buy a writable DVD disc or a flash drive and go to another computer (like the libraray) and get the program you need. Then when you boot your computer, press your F1-F12 key, whichever yours is, to boot into safe mode with networking. Then scan your computer and remove the virus. The fake AV program should not load in safe mode. After you scan and remove in safe mode, restart and scan again in normal mode.

Some variations of this do not allow you to open Task Manager. Additionally, it can also change your Internet Connection settings to not allow downloads. Some of the better ones actually remove the MalwareBytes, etc. executable file (.exe). If you cannot download anything, go into Internet Explorer, Select Tools>Options>Advanced>LAN Connections - then uncheck use Proxy Server, than apply. That will keep it from hijacking your browser.

Try to run as administrator in Safe Mode with Networking. Let me know if that helps.

rename the file. first try something like iexplorer.exe if it still doesnt work, rename the file extension, from .exe to .bat and try it again, it worked for me

I had Antivirus Soft which is nearly the same "fake security" hi-jacker. I couldn't get puter to do anything except pop up Anitvirus Soft. I barely got into restore point and restored puter before Anitvirus Soft loaded. That allowed my puter to work. I then downloaded the free version of Malwarebytes and ran a full scan. It is now quarantined.

still antivir was in the bottom rite corner blue bar and deleted cause i couldnt deleted before. then i went to norton manage firewall/program rules. i found it there and removed it. and i think is gone everything works fine now however my window's blue bar on the top rite corner where X and minimize is became larger and everything seems to be little larger i wonder if the virus is still there can any body tell me?

I had this virus on my computer, and the only thing I could do i wipe out my hard drive and lose all of my photos, music, etc. So this is a bad virus and the company number doesn't work and the address is a fake. So really the only thing you can do for this program is to wipe out your hard drive.
