WTLV was an ABC station during the 1980's. WTLV had switched with channel 17 WJKS which was originally ABC, then NBC during the 1980's, back to ABC in 1988 and lost ABC to new channel 25 in the mid 1990's. Then channel 17 was a WB and CW station.
Also for a couple years, Channel 25 shared ABC with Brunswick Georgia's channel 21 because the ch25 signal didn't reach the Georgia side of the market.
@leatherface1111 U-matic was a format on Sony VCRs in 1971, costing about $7000 in today's money, though they were better quality than early VHS. Domestic VCRs have been around a few years longer than most people realise, but only the most privileged had one. They were massive, you could fry an egg on them!
Interesting, I was born in 72.

The reporter in the red suit reminds me a little of Ron Burgundy- similar hair, same looking suit. :-)

I always thought WTLV was an ABC affiliate for a long time. I didn't know 12 went from NBC, to ABC, and then back to NBC.

1972?! Where were you able to get a video taped broadcast of that vintage?

A friend sent it to me long ago; my assumption is it was saved on U-matic tape
