I don't think Victoria is unhealthily skinny - but she's very slim yes. I bet she's healthier than the average US size 12-14 woman. Average does not mean healthy. We always hear about how skinny is unhealthy, but so is being overweight. Reasonably slim is the healthiest thing.

I think she's right - we should be promoting HEALTHIER sizes. Not extremes at either end - not too skinny and not too fat.

BMI may not be perfect, but I think it's a good place to start. At the end of the day if you know that you're healthy and you're at a good weight for you, your height, your shape, etc. then carry on.

BMI is not an accurate measure of health as it doesn't take into account a person's frame nor does it differentiate between lean mass and body fat percentage. Certain athletes at the peak of health and fitness could be described as obese if we purely relied on the BMI assessment.

im 5"8 and 130 lbs with very long thin limbs, and no boobs (A cup) people my entire life have make fun of me, accused me of being anorexic, stared at me etc, i am incredible uncomfortable undressing in front of guys, i hate how its oh so ok to bully naturally skinny girls, or even believing that there is no such thing as a naturally skinny girl, as if all of them happened to be anorexic, and saying only real women are curvy.its so rude, ive been trying to get fat for 21 years now, its impossible

@TheHoliday555 I have been living in North-America for most of my life... Came here when I was a 4 yr old. My family is mostly east Africans and Europeans living around the Mediterranean sea... I should eat more according to all members of my family and I should loose weight but get bigger boobs according to North-American standards... I'm at a healthy 127 pounds for my 5'7'' and half (not quite 5'8'', still considered tall in NA standards). This shit is ridiculous! This is simply unsustainable.

I do light cardio and resistance training coupled with high carb and protein...luckily I've learned to accept my size which is the most important thing! I appreciate your advice but everyone is different, you can't assume my hips will suddenly change structure!!

I think perhaps the regular hosts are too used to forcing their own opinion in(due to the nature of the show it is inevitable) but as Victoria is relatively new to the show she doesn't seem to be used to it, whicj sadly gives the impression the hosts are ignoring her.

@katy93509 it's a bit like LW, but the panel talk over each other constatntly, they get v political too, in the UK a balanced opinion has to be given, cos TV is such a powerful medium. The panel have the combined knowledge of Sherie Hewson (sp?), except perhaps Whoopi, but she refuses to listen 2 any opinion that is not her own. LW focuses more on humour + is more structured. VB is 2 polite 2 talk over people even tho 2 my knnowledge she's the only 1 on this panel who works in fashion.

I honestly think people are just pissed because she looks good. She eats properly and chooses not to eat junk food. She said ever since she first got pregnant in 1999, her eating habits changed. whenever I watch their documentaries she was always eating something. The only time I ever heard her talk about her weight was when she talked about being a ballet dancer.

as for boobs, a good bra can make your boobs look huge and also having kids can give you, boobs. that happen to my mom.

This isn't an interview. It's a topical show with 5 hosts. All these women are "hosting". On this particular show, Victoria was asked to be "guest host". This is the beginning of the show where the hosts discuss "hot topics". It's fast paced because everything must fit into an hour time slot with the commercials included. It's a popular show here in the US!

@cdcotr she has problems gaining weight. It is a disorder which she developped after giving birth to her first son. and it is hereditary. My father's ex had the same issue and needed to take weight-gain pills after giving birth to my sister. but it doesn't really work all that well.
