I think if you are feeling like crap and lonely, you are not alone. There are a whole bunch of us out there. I'm dealing with it by trying to become an expert at something I like to do, cooking. Now I'm in culinary school and doing well. I still don't have a lot of friends but at least I'm busy doing something to better myself. Maybe this would work for you.
