I guess they just wanted a short, iconic name. Same reason the "iPod"s name is simply "iPod" rather than "Apple iPod".

And as for Gamecube, "Nintendo Gamecube" is the systems actual official name, as said on the system in every piece of Nintendo literature released about the system.

if u read the description for the video u'll see that that was actually the point of the video. It was supposed to be like a "parody" of the Ratchet and Clank commercials. The main reason we did it is cuz those are one of my favorite types of commercials. We actually made another one like this one for Metroid Prime 3 if u havent seen it yet. Just click on my username and its posted in my channel if u want to watch it.
