i had the same problem cause i wanted to record with my ipod nano 5th gen. So i took a foam block from work (work for vw parts dept) cut it to fit into a spot on my recaro seats. Works like a charm. I just got a playsport and i am gonna do the same thing. Foam keeps it in place and absorbs noises/bumps!
Hey I'm thinking about getting a Playsport for taking video at races here in the States like Sebring and Petit Le Mans. Anything you would recommend or don't like about the camera? Thanks
@dudegotskills love the camera, but the mounting point is a bit of a pain. Also, could do with a mic socket - although as @zuadilearium wrote, there are other models that have an external mic option. But I need mine to be waterproof so that is the compromise.
Looks great.. Just in case you didn't know. The kodak zi8 I think it's called has a external mic input. That should help your wind noise problem. You would be able to place the mic where ever you liked and add a windsock if required.
@MacOSeX10 Yep, sorry about that... this is something I'm trying to work out with a couple of the guys on Z4-Forum - it is better than it was! Probably need a separate sound recorder to capture the engine noise :-)
