  • what crap, this dosent prove fuck all about people being honest, all this proves that u 2 are cunning cunts trying to catch people out.

    TWATS

  • Here's the thing about this.. If you're stupid enough to lose something, then you didn't deserve it in the first place. I have never dropped or lost my wallet, cell phone, money, I.D.'s, keys, any purchases I've made. That's never happened to me. If you pay attention and keep a better eye on yourself then it wouldn't happen to you. It's not anybody elses responsiblity to let me know that I have lost something. If I ever do lose something I will blame myself, not the people who didn't let me know

  • not too sure, but i dont think that guy in the green shirt was looking at 1:27, but the woman, she might have been

  • I dropped my wallet once and got it back....minus all my cash though, haha. >.<

  • This kind of experiment "The good samatirian" stuff is getting ridicilous. How can people expect everyone to get off thier ass to help you out all the time? Just be gratefull someone bothered to help you. Stop acting like everyone who does not help out is an douchebag and an asshole. Some people might even got better things to do. And no, when it's an "I help or he/she dies" situation to call me an hypocrite does not count, that is an for more important event than someone dropping an wallet.

  • 1.49 loool checking for id more like money

  • 1:17 like a boss xD

  • there was, however, a distinct absence of blacks in this 'test', - which leads me to wonder if they were edited out, because of absolutely consistent dishonesty. - interesting...

there sould've been at least 3 or 4 blacks in a random sample..

  • checking for id. is a good idea, because a lot of thieves will empty a wallet & then dump it.

  • dis shit garbege if you wanna be stupid in drop ya wallet on purpose in my face ima steal it idgaf if obama was lookin

  • Try putting a wallet on the ground and drawing a large yellow circle around it - see if anyone stops to pick it up.

  • I really hope you lost your wallet by the end of the day to some people.

  • the two boys at 4:18 look right at the camera as they walk by.

  • Is that in BC in metrotown ?

  • kaya nga experiment di ba??!

  • this is stupid. you know why? of course their going to give it back, there were a lot ppl who saw the wallet drop. so u cant try to keep. Only thing to do is give it back

  • @VowaDT but one of the reasons people leave it is because there afraid of as soon as they pick it up the man would turn round and accuse them of theft.

  • This isn't psychology this is a waste of time.

  • who the hell drops a wallet that they're holding?

  • What is most pathetic about this experiment is how it is called a "psychology" experiment.

All you're doing is quite obviously dropping a wallet in front of someone's face and seeing who gives a shit or not, and I wouldn't give a shit because the wallet slipped RIGHT out of your hand and if you actually, in reality and not a dinky experiment, couldn't feel that I also couldn't feel sorry for you.

  • @KingMacintosh it helps people know how we work for example the psychological reasons behind hands only CPR people weren't helping because of mouth to mouth contact or they did not know how. so we devised a way of helping by making CPR easy and without mouth contact as the untrained with breaths can do more damage than good. example not opening airways enough it may cause suffocation, over inflating a child's lungs by breathing to hard.

  • Whever I've found a wallet or purse I've allways kept the cash and sent the rest including cards etc by mail to the owner..1. Someone has to pay for the mail I'm not. 2. Dont ever send cash in yhe mail.3 If I lost mine and a negroid found iit I'd get nothin back.

  • @famileri Hold the fuck up. Didn't I JUST get done typing a comment to you about ANOTHER racist comment you made on a DIFFERENT video. You disgust me.

  • @Bubbles10126 Get the fuck over politically correct liberal yourself. I'm sure me and famileri can both bet if a "negriod" will even give us our shit back. Only a fucking mixed Uncle Tom would, one in a million to give you your STATISTICS, but otherwise the money says "I wouldn't see my entire wallet back again, end of story." As a respectful human being, I would do just as famileri did. Loose money is loose money and the property goes back to the owner. NEXT!

  • @KingMacintosh Yeah well said..

  • @famileri 100% agree with every word.

  • @famileri uhm why so racist? African Americans are not the worst people here and you act like they are. Why keep the cash and not the cards? I mean, seriously. Yea just keep the cash cause you arent even an honest person if you even take just a dollar out the wallet. And for all you know, blacks can be more honest than you ever will be.

  • next time dont turn around like a robot

  • i will check if there is ID

If there is none and there is money, legally it is mine

    learn the law

  • @stevolim how is that the law?

  • This didnt happen to darren brown when he put his wallet down. Lol.

  • i have seen someone drop there wallet and the person behind in line gave it back. its a very intresting experiment beceause it shows how good of a person u are to give it back.

  • the lesson is... if you see someone drop there wallet give it to them because you could be taped stealing it

  • It's not working properly because they're clearly dropping it intentionally, people think they did it on purpose.

  • Bad music.

  • I'm surprised people actualy touched the wallet when they didn't see anyone drop it. I'd assume its hidden camera.

  • If i saw this happen in a public setting I wouldn't hesitate to return it but if it was dropped without the owner realizing it or any other witnesses in the area , then yes id take the wallet.

  • @19KISAME93 I wouldn't trust you behind me. Maybe you would rob my pockets too theif.

  • @Tzimnewman3 I wouldn't do that...thats gross

  • @19KISAME93 Its gross to steal someones wallet yet you have no problems with that.

  • @Tzimnewman3 its not gross and its not stealing its finding

  • Thanks RemoteMemory!!! :) it was fun and interesting to see peoples reactions.

  • well how do you go about concluding an experiment where you drop a wallet in a less busy area? supposed to follow whoever picked up the wallet until they decide to call the number left in the wallet? that could be until they get all the way home!! it was a fun experiment to do, wasnt supposed to be an exact to the point experiment. but thanks for some of the nasty comments...now go make your own and stop hunting for other peoples ideas when your Psychology teacher assigns you a project!!!!

  • @csillakormendi what mall and where?

  • For all the people telling her this is not a legitimate experiment, because she does not define any variable or does not control the setting; take it easy... this is a youtube video and not an academic journal.

In all actuality, this could be an experiment with legitimate scientific results if it were modified in some small ways to standardize it.

    Good job and interesting stuff.

  • it would be interesting to contrast this behviour in an enviroment that lacks external observers and group pressure to conform to the standards of society and return the wallet. In other words, these people were in a crowded mall where everyone could see what was going on. What would happen if the people knew no one could see them pick the wallet up. Some responses would be the same, returning the wallet... however, I imagine some may keep it.

  • that was totaly the kelowna orchard park

  • totally unfitting and shit music

  • O

    M

    F

    G

Do you realize who that was at 4:51? That's the legendary Pokemon Trainer!

  • so what did this experiment tell you exactly? some people care and some people dont... stupid experiment didnt explain anything and no conclusion..?

  • @stevietoward thats the point of a psychology experiment. It shows how people think and react.

  • @TexasMadeChicano

these are just random people. for this to be a decent experiment it needs to have have a point... randoms picking up or not picking up the wallet isnt in itself an experiment. it needs a conclusion/ finding, elderly women are more or less likely to return the wallet then young women all that crap. we already know that some people would give it back or keep it. this experiment isnt telling anyone more then they already know.......

  • Why were they all fat in the video?

  • this "experiment" is not efficient. you need to do this in a less crowded place, there for the person that sees you drop the wallet would not feel obligated to return it. i am pretty sure that at least 2 out of 8 would have kept the wallet in a different atmosphere.

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning of the video?

  • 4:50 guys like; shit no money, well i guess i'll return it. Or; Hello new identity! good experiment though

  • The older couple at 4:00, so cute!

  • Something like this happened to me when I was a cashier years ago. I was ringing up a woman and a 100 bill fell out of her pocket. No one noticed but me. I pulled it around my counter with my foot and stood on it. For a few seconds I thought of what bills I could pay with it, or the music I could buy...... but then I thought, "What if it's for her rent or food, something like that?". When she turned to walk away, I picked it up, called her back and gave it to her. I felt good after for doing it.

  • It would be interesting to know what mall / city this is.

  • there is a fault on this experiment, even though it serves some of it`s original purpose.I couldn`t just pick up a wallet because i wouldn`t know if the person who "accidentally" dropped it would like to dispose of it no matter what.Maybe he stole it from someone.I might have vivid imagination(my english is not good) but nowadays you have to be cautious with everything that happens around you. It`s not a world of angels.

  • I'd take the money and drop the wallet again.

  • If I saw someone drop a wallet, I'd try and get a hold of them so it's resolved straight ahead.

If it looks like it's been there a while, I'll look for an ID card, then call the local number service and see if they have a phone number on whoever is on the ID, and then simply call the person and tell them I found the wall and will leave it in a nearby information/shop, so they can pick it up.

If there's no idea and all, I leave it at the nearest store.

Happened twice, had ID in it both times.

  • 1:05 nice ass.

  • well typical it showed the two guys take the wallet, but one friend looked a bit hessitant.

  • if there was no people around it would be taken every time

  • @zeziman now now u have such a bad opinion about the world, I will reasure u good people do exist! its called they consider God to ba always watching and then they want to do what is right

  • if i found a wallet id look for a name, ID or anything to find out whos it is. then depending if i was in a shop or at a park, i would go to the nearest lost & found/main desk or look up the person on a famous website eg. facebook, youtube, google and return it to them :)

  • That fat fucking bitch at 1:24 needs to have a thick, rusty iron bar shoved up her fat ass..

  • @MrSHIZZLE4u what the hell goes through your mind XD lmao

  • im a minority. my skin color says i would have stolen the wallet LMAO

  • Any reason to doubt the honesty of canadians? dont think so.

That last guy, I belive him. He wouldnt have looked through it in public if he was gonna take off with it.

This phsycology experiment is really about you isnt it. You just cant stop suspecting people of being criminals.

  • worst acting!!

  • would be better in a less public place. there needs to be no chance of being caught and reprimanded for not returning the wallet

  • gag shows like "just for laughs", they use psychology sometimes that's why they easily trick people...

  • haha i tried this before, i just bought a new wallet, and dropped my old one around the mall a few times. two people actually grabbed it and gave it back to me, ten seconds after i dropped it, third person totally took it! lol and it was empty

  • LOL wut? I've never heard that Canadians are honest people? I mean they may be idk, i'm just saying i've never heard that before.

  • I'd grab it and run, honestly.

  • I happened twice to me. Once i was in a row waiting for my turn and the guy before me left his wallet, but i immediately called for the owner; instead few weeks ago i was in a row again when a boy lost his wallet passing by...i waited if i could recognise the guy by the picture in his wallet....and finally i called his name on his visa...then a friend of him approached and called him at the phone. I did'nt steal an euro :)

  • HHHHUUUUUURRRPAA DERRRRP

    IMA TRY PSYCHOLOGY!!!!!

  • canadians WTF?

  • Csilla? Kormendi? Like Körmendi Csilla? uhm. Are you Hungarian?

  • your malls are so cool

  • this is fucking retarded. it's obvious as a nigger that you intentionally dropped the wallet

  • the reason most of these people give it back is from the feeling that someone will watch them pick it up and take it, i would like to see a video of this same idea in a place that a person would know that no one would see them i guaruntee a lot of people would take it

  • LOL if I see someone drop their wallet like THAT, I would beat their bitchass down and give them an hour lecture on how to hold a fucking wallet LOL

  • I've seen better one. They used security cameras. Money fall from pocket in jacket Whole thing looked much more realistic.

When people saw how much money they pick up some run after the owner in high speed. No one keep it . One person give them to security guard.

  • would be a lot better without the music!

  • I would shop for all the money in the wallet I found loool jk .

    I would return it really.

  • If this happend in japan..they would come to your house and return it..sorry that's how they are

  • Nice job, you guys. I love social experiments like this -- they definitely make you more conscious of being a more responsible individual, I find.

  • If I saw a girl drop a wallet like that, I'd keep it. She obviously wanted me to have it.

  • of course they are honest, it's in a social environment. If this was done in the privacy of the confederate and the subject, I think that people will take it on a pretty good chance.

  • haha, that girl dropped her wallet right from her hand like nothing.

  • this was way to easy it was in a mall. go to a neighborhood, were the person has space to run.

  • y r we focusing on 1 gurl

  • omg

  • what if they picked it up to give to the police station so that person had their wallet back?

that's what me and my family did...

  • Left mine in the changing booth at a Hollister just before the mall was closing once, the girl there opened the shop back up and got it for me.

My mom dropped hers in a wal-mart parking lot, only about 20 seconds passed for she realized, when she drove back to her spot it was already gone. Someone mailed the license to her two months later with no return address

  • this sounds bad but if they looked rich id take it, they wont starve, id share it with me and a few friends but if they looked average or lower then id give it them back. honest opinion

  • still this video is fuckin wack

  • WOAH theres GAP in canada?

    amazing, eh?

  • @shinycrystal59 Haha you didn't know that? We have a lot of American Stores :P

  • @Turquesai that was sarcasm -_-

  • I lost my wallet a few years ago in Florida. It only had $15 cash in it ,but it had my CC's and DL inside.I cancelled the cards right away, went to the bank and made arrangements for travelers checks.Came home four days later and my wallet hade already beaten me there in the mail.Everything was there but the cash which had been replaced with a note that read," Thank's for the beer!"...I thought that was pretty cool.

  • cool

  • someone just tell me if there's a theft.

  • this was good im takin psychiology in the fall so this was nice =]

  • for high schoolers, not bad I guess. >:P

  • lol the obvious drop

  • shitty experiment

who drops a wallet like that

plus in some of the trials the subjects could clearly see the camera

  • @carcinogen20 haha chill guy its just an expriment its not suppose to be a bruce lee movie

  • @csillakormendi you suck faggot

  • @csillakormendi Just. An. Experiment. Call that f-ing around in the mall, when you don't take it seriously. (no intent to troll, just wanted to inform that I did that once. Cold reading. 4/5 of people fell on the same description and said that it was accurate.)

  • @csillakormendi

He said shitty experiment. Not shitty movie.

  • @csillakormendi

LOL at bruce lee movie haha

  • China Man the last guy is a crook!

  • I'd take it and if it has no money i would give it back I feel so ashamed

  • people r dumb

  • is that in toronto?

  • you can't say a canadian is the most honest in the world, becouse good people and bad people are in all over the world, this experiment depends on our mentality (sorry for my bad english)

  • I remember an excperiment where they left an ipod on the hood of a car, about 80% of the people who passed the looked around, took it, and walked away with it.

  • they look pretty honest to me

  • what happen to finders keepers?

should be a rule where u can keep half the money...

    ;-p

  • a 10% reward of the lost amount is quite normal

  • Canadians ARE indeed honest! even the ones who saw it but didn't take it! That's honesty too!

Try and do this experiment in Italy and see what you get! lol

  • Uh actually this is a really good "experiment" since its seeing how people would react to dropping their wallet.A friend of mine did an experiment like this but hed walk down an aisle and would trip and drop his things and see who would help him...A majority of people wouldn't help him

  • i bet many people are scared of consequences that would follow if you keep the wallet for yourself and are seen doing it. the experiment could be more accurate if you add situations in which the participants feel safe to possibly steel.

  • this is a horrible experiment if i were the teacher i would most likely give this a F.

  • yea its not a good experiment, but i don't think you would be a good teacher since you used "a" instead of "an".

  • But you said "its" instead of "it's". Haha.

  • That's like me saying, but you said ""its" instead of "it's". Haha." Instead of saying, "but you said "its instead of SAYING "it's". Haha. Haha.

  • *shrugs* My sentence was grammatically correct.

It's just funny to correct someone when you're not entirely correct yourself, particularly on something that is quite simple.

  • The point was not grammar. The point was that a "good teacher" would never give his/her student a F, he/she would give his/her student "an" F. Talking about simple, you failed to understand the simplest part my friend.

  • I understood *your* primary correction and I corrected a mistake you had elsewhere in your own sentence. I'm not who you had corrected on the difference between "a" and "an".

  • I understood *your* primary sentence and there is no need for correction in it. I am not your mind so please restate your point in a way that I will understand.

  • It is correct there is no need for correction for my primary sentence, whereas there was an incorrect spelling in yours I was just pointing out. That is all that had happened.

  • The only reply that I can agree with is this one you just wrote, when your pointing doesn't have a destination, my COCK get's "it's" stroke.

  • You still have misspellings. The whole thing is just ironic. Why correct someone if you don't bother taking the time to correct your own sentences?

Anyway, don't bother replying. The above question was rhetorical. This conversation is getting repetitious.

  • what would you do to make it more valid?

  • Bullshit. I also would return this wallet but I would taking a look inside for sure. Nothing to do, our curiosity is stronger then us.

  • this is an awfully executed experiment with too many uncontrolled variables

  • haha nice stuff man.

but the one major flaw i see in this is that it's wayyy too obvious this is planned.

the way the people drop their wallets is so "unrealistic" and seemingly "planned", so other people would have no choice but to be obliged to return the wallet.

other than that, very cool experiment, i especially liked the part where no one picked up the wallet for like 10 minutes lol.

  • I had some bills fall out of my back pocket once in Winnipeg and a lady raced after me to give it back

hey look on the bright side of the experiment: no one took off with it, eh?

  • how can ppl not return or try to return a wallet. Religious or not it doesnt matter. you see a wallet and say "hey that would suck balls if that was my wallet" so as a result of that thought im gonna help out whoever dropped that wallet.

  • I found a wallet in the middle of the street full of money over the summer and looked up the guy on facebook and returned it to him =)

  • every1's on facebook LOL!

  • @Aaron518 wow! =D

  • @Aaron518 fucking bull shit! you kept all the money then disposed the wallet, probably burn it with all the identification still inside

  • @Aaron518 what a fag

  • @Aaron518 someone finally put facebook to good use

  • @Aaron518 if that's true that's really sweet :)

  • @Aaron518 wow that was honest good job

  • @Aaron518 YOU LIA

  • They only giveaway that it's fake, if I was there, would be the way thy walk, so upright, rigid. They don't seem relaxed at all when they walk. They also turn around way too fast and at about the same time. Most of the time, that doesn't happen.

  • yes, we should have waited a bit.

we did do that in a few drops,

if you notice we kept walking in one of them and actually let the woman pretty much chase us down. funnier that way!

  • I found about 200 dollars at the galleria once... and i kept it.

  • good move LOL

  • Loool

  • Lol.Dont look down!!!There is a gun!!!!And dont touch it!!!!2:03 to 3:07

  • lol same thing happened to me at the Eaton centre but, we returned the wallet.

  • In romania iou have to give Maximum security to your wallet!!!!And if you drop the wallet!!! you will never see again.Like Bye Bye mrs wallet.lol

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • I have no idea what youre trying to tell me lol.

  • the lady with the black hoody shud be an actor.

awesome job on dropping the wallet :)

    made me laugh LOL

  • thanks! it was fun!

  • This is at orchard park isn't it?

    Done by a KSS student?

  • yep, Orchard Park Mall!

done by 3 KSS students :)
