  • U should buy a rottweiler...

  • Do you know why when we stop walking, my dog becomes aggressive towards other dogs? If i ignore the other dog he is usually ok? I don't understand why though.

  • Wow! Very good technique!

  • Great job!.. I really find all your videos really helpful!!.

  • thank you sooooo much!:O

  • your videos are really under viewed people should watch your videos instead of other crappy training videos

  • Your videos are probably some of the best I've seen. Thanks

  • Your dog training advice and lessons have been invaluable additions to the training we receive at the dog club we go to and have filled in some of the gaps for us. We live in the UK. Thank you so much!

  • great videos !

  • Hey, i have a 3 month old golden retriever puppy. I love her, she's amazing but when it comes to training she's constantly distracted. The only way to train a dog I know is training a dog orally, is it better to train her by using a clicker?

I've seen almost all your videos, they are great I've been searching for a good dog trainer for a while and your the best so far. Thank you

  • so essentially I have to always walk around with a fanny pack full of food? and if I forget my fanny pack full of food then my dog no longer listens? that seems like effective dog training.

  • @Kapok6 You should get a cat.

  • So, when the dog is calmly looking at the distraction, you click and reward, then after time, because when you click and reward the dog looks at you, the dog, when seeing a distraction, will look calmly at it then look back to you? Sorry i didn't really understand it :P

  • @Yellowmutts Sounds like you did! That's right!

  • How do you phase out the click/treat, and does the dog then remain calm around distractions with just verbal praise?

  • Another great video Tab! I can't wait to begin working on this with Val! Thanks again!

  • thank you so much for making your videos. please dont stop. they are so helpful.

  • Thank God, someone who knows what they're doing. Your dog is amazing, lol. I'm getting a German Shepherd within the next couple of weeks. I've seriously watched ALL of your videos. Thanks! (:

  • fucking love u man u rock!

  • Excellent

  • love ALL your videos... will not miss any of them not even the ones on the FB link (whatever that is... yeah right).

  • Oh i thought she was bigger lol shes pretty though

  • Great tutorial Tab! this is such a common problem, I see it so many times, dogs barking & lunging at other dogs, & sadly so many owners have no idea on how to help their dog, instead they yank on the dogs leash, pulling and yelling at the dog to stop barking : ( Jake use to be reactive towards other dogs, by clicking and treating Jake for remaining calm at a distance from the stresser, then slowly decreasing the distance has changed Jake's reactive behaviour to non-reactive.

    See u on FB!

  • @JakeVomRivergreen Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear Jake's doing well!

  • Great video and good points. I hope you still plan on doing things on YouTube as I don't belong to Face Page.

  • @azmauigirl Most definitely :)

  • solea is pretty how much does she weigh?

  • @topdoggirl12510 Last time we checked, she was about 80lbs.

  • So happy you made another video. My pup is 11 weeks old and he is mouthing very badly.....I have been trying to teach him the "OFF" command as well as the "LEAVE IT" command, but sometimes I am confused as to when to say use the OFF command and when to use the LEAVE IT command. Any ideas? Thanks tab.

  • @ritamcfadd I usually like to use the same word to interrupt the mouthing behavior (off) and a different word (e.g. leave it) for non-mouthing related things. That way there is a consistency when we're trying to re-direct the mouthing. This works well for me.

  • is it harder to train a male dog?

  • @ProportaReviewsUK Not in my experience. All dogs love to play! Male or female :)

  • Yay another video! Thanks:):):)

  • this is a brilliant video - this technique has worked wonders for Meena, after reading something similar in "Control Unleashed" book

  • @ljbndjb Good to know! It's a very popular idea!

  • but your dogs already fairly calm....

  • @dehbee Yes, because we were at a good enough distance from the distractions. I just wanted to show the correct distance to work at.

  • @dehbee well if she was calm and already good then i'm sure he used the same method to train her with destractions.

  • @topdoggirl12510 isnt that what hes already doing in this vid? training with distraction?

  • @dehbee hes making an example to show us how. I've done trick tutorials that my dog already knows before

  • hey tab, great video as usual!! a question, at around 3.00 wouldnt be better to reset the position by moving around a bit before clicking and rewarding? thanx!!!!!!!

  • @marcoandrea84 Sure, you could do that after a few clicks.

  • great vid...would love to see a vid of you working a really reactive dog though and show the steps you take and how the dog changes over the course of time..if at all possible:))

  • Great video luv the shirt!

  • @AlmondBear It's an important message ;)

  • i have finally found someone who knows what they are talking about THANK YOU!!

  • @munkmunks You're welcome! :)

  • Thank you for the tutorial!!!
