  • are there any type of position markers on this bass? I know there aren't any on the fret board, but perhaps on the side of the neck? I just think having none would be confusing to try to quickly go to higher frets at a glance

  • quem tiver afim de um baixo groove tenho um fortress da Rock Bass, to vendendo la no mercado Livre. R$ 1.100,00

  • Im about to get a warwick DB later for a graduation gift. Lol. I love that sound that the double buck gives...damn.... Its beautiful. lol

  • Nice playing. Can't stand Jamiroquai, only came her to listen to the tone of the bass itself. You've done it really well. Thanks!

  • those triplets don't fit in the grooooooove

  • How do you get that nice funky sound playing finger-style?

  • Sweet and sour.

    A smooth ride.

  • I just got this same bass for an awsome deal... awsome bass!!!!!!!!!

  • oh god yes it is !

  • great!

  • amazing bass + classic track, love it

  • Nice cover! sounds a bit like Chameleon by Herbie Hancock. The bassline at least.

  • exactly what i was thinking (though that's a keyboard part, not a bass part)

  • yeah, but im pretty sure its still considered the bassline even though its played on the keyboard. I might be wrong. I'm always stuck with it when I play bass anyways :P

  • I guess we're both correct, it's kind of ambiguous. I usually consider the bassline to be whatever comes out of the bass guitar, but after thinking about it, it's completely legitimate to refer to the lowest melody as the bassline.

  • been learning this tune, sounds well funcky! be happy if i can sound as good. you doin any more?

  • great sound !

  • wow my bass sounds like shit compared to that one

  • great tone

  • funkyyyy (Y)

  • well done!

  • sick playing man !!!!

i wish i had a bass plyer in my band like you man.

  • Jamiroquai changes their musicians from time to time! and Stu Zender is one of their bassist, I'd say the best bassist in Jamiroquai. cheers!

  • what amp are you using???

  • None, it's just the sound of the bass through my Px4d (whith no effetct at all)

  • ééé, ele é bacaninha sim...o rapaz ate q tocar um pouco!!

  • Is this bass good 4 slap s well??

  • Really really great trust me !

  • sounds same like my warwick corvette std 4 with my bassman amp (=.. going to learn to play that song :P.. nice playing m8

  • warwick it is....

  • good

  • why only 4 stars?! 5*!

  • I didn't realize this song was this slow....I learned ALL of these bass lines....stu zender was fantastic....his fills drew me to their music. Good job there morgan.

  • This is not Stu Zender, it's Andrew Levy. His only one with Jairoquai i think, but not sure.

  • new strings and a little neck pickup. I like this tone :)

  • I love the tone too... but are you sure about the NECK pickup being favored? Doesn't it sound like a bridge tweak? And perhaps a music man type humbucker?

  • yes u r right i confused neck and bridge. absolutely bridge pick up ;)

  • NO!

  • hey evreyone im selling a 5 string version of that bass pm me if intrested

  • is that a warwick?

  • yar

  • Hey man

    really good work

but i think , you can use

more ghost notes..it will really get you closer to the song =]

    but at all

    Good work

  • is that a warwick?

  • nice bass. really love the tone :)

  • nicee simple but its beautiful :)

  • That's a great tone!

  • Nice tone, man! Warwick rules.

  • nice bass man

    and great playing too

    u damn good :P

    check out my videos too!

    =)

  • lmao at CptChaos88, way to look someone up just to bash em. also, good job at hiding your insults behind your youtube username you coward. then again what can we expect on youtube? XD

  • Jamiroquai has epic bass lines. Nice playing btw.

  • What the fuck are u talking about? do i have to fuck your mom again?

  • OH! Burn son!

  • Lol. Racism aside, Jamiroquai's music isn't necessarily hard to play, but the composition and arrangements are on a level you can't touch dude. The theoretical knowledge and skills required for that are pretty impressive, regardless how easy or hard it is to play.

  • nice ,warm sound

  • what's the name of this music?

    hug

  • Never heard this song before, really groovy line. Only criticism I could offer is that you're slightly ahead of the pulse at some points. Try hanging back just a little bit more and you'll go from flawless to perfect. :)

  • Wow!

  • im a recent bassist , and i play lots of metal, but like they say, to be a good bassist you just cant play one style, im thinking about learn this song :p

you did a great job ^^

  • yea man i was the same when i begain but the more you play the more different types music you can learn to appreciate.

  • I started out as soft/alternative rock,

i reached out to funk, pop, metal, blues, jazz, classical etc.

Now i'm planning next year to get a BA In Music in Jazz, and im in a youth orchestra as well. Its great to reach out, you may just find something you'll love!

  • I've never heard this song, but man your bass sounds so awesome. I've been looking at warwicks and I think I wanna get one now.

  • very nice

  • Awesome!!! Awesome!! Awesome!!

  • sta bien si lo ases por webeo pero si pones algo en tu nick como probando con el funk ahi si tas cagando en lavadero de suegra xD

  • amazing! how do you do, that every note is so exactly? when i play something that is just a bit fast and i have to move my fretboard-hand (left) i dont hit them right and it makes this metally crashing sound. many bass palyers like that, but i want to play like you^^ is it cause of the amp, a filter against it just for the pure tone? or is it just because i am not so good? i stop practising sometimes when there are two many bad sounds in my play... i hate that^^ can you help me?^^

  • keep on training the sound will come

  • ^^ k, thanks^^

  • dude jus get warwick wen i got my warwick i didn tget horrible noises like i used to its quality equipment

  • Barcarus, try playing with your fingers closer to the frets, or even on top os them. The sound is much cleaner. If that doesn't work, have someone make your cords a bit further from the fretboard. The guys that do this kind of stuff here are called "Luthiers". I don't know if it's the same in english. Hope I could help.

  • thanks.^^

i got a warwick amp. thanks for the tips, i will tell if there is something new. i tried it with my amp and it works well. may i need another bass tab for it, but for now its ok^^ thanks and see you! :D

  • No problem. One more thing I forgot to say. Try to increase the volume on your bass and amp and play slightly on the strings.

  • great job! check my version..but bad sound..and many many mistakes.

  • groovy bass line, anyone reccomend a Jamaraquai album? I am more into the heavy music but as a bass player i love anything that can groove. Search for Darlin Dear by Jackson 5 (James Jamerson) its on youtube, it the ultimate groove line

  • Travelling withou moving is the best, i think

  • Salut Jamiroquai,

J'ai visité ... !!! Ta musique m'a donné beaucoup de plaisir. Heureux de te découvrir. Merci à toi.

  • i watched this video whilst waiting for my mars ice cream bar to melt a little bit =D

  • I love this song...;) and I love your bass!

  • holy crap jamiroquai's bassline rocks so hard!

u can't not dance to it...

    very good job! :P

  • oh that is a nice groove

    keep swingin man

    love the bass

  • Any of you know the Sandberg Basses? I own One, i and actually think that it sounds just as beautiful as A Fodera,And design too is Cool in its Own way. Go check some out if Ya want, Sandberg wont let you down . But some day, i gotta own a Fodera, just to have one :) they are indeed wonderful in every way .

  • wow dude, nice job.

it looks like you started getting in to it near the end, lolz.

  • ROCK ON! thats how a bass is truly played

  • If you are low on cash I find my local Pawn Shops are great places to find interesting Basses of all types and brands. Price? Can't beat it most times. I've known one for 15 years that is "my place." I know the owner and everyone there which makes for great deals. That's a clue to all. I am nostalgic and hobbyiest collector. My first "pawn find" was a Peavy T-40. Prioir to any patent #213. Brush painted black by the previous owner. For $100.00 I took it home and restored it better than factory.

  • Nice tone!

  • watch my version of this great song...

  • Dude, I love Jamiroquai.Nice playing once again.

  • The sound of wood is nice, but if you want the sound of cash buy a Fodera Bass if you have the money

  • where did you buy it

  • i bought it in a shop in the north of france

  • dude, Jamiroquai is the shiiit! Nice job on the song! Warwicks have got to be the grooviest basses in the world! keep up the good work!

  • gorgeous tone. wow.

  • its amazing

  • hey, i got a $220 yamaha RBX 170 and im looking forward for a new bass. some friends have told me that warwick basses sound pretty well and ive watched many videos on youtube. i was thinking to buy a better yamaha one or a warwick, which one you would recommend me? thanks

  • get a warwick, without a doubt. you will be glad you did.

  • how much would a vampyre SN or NT cost? its impossible to get one here in peru, so i was gonna but it when i travel. thanks again for the advice

  • expect to pay 2000-2500 dollars

  • I've seen 'em up for two *hundred.*

  • ohkey..a realy warwick?? maybe it was a RockBass??

  • I'm fairly certain it was Warwick, yeah. I'll check next time I go to the place, though.

  • warwick.you will regret if you dont.

  • yes!

  • To upgrade from a yamaha rbx170 to a warwick is a bit of a jump. I'm coming from a position of a student with hardly any money but I'd suggest unless you can get something used I'd go with something in the 500-600 range. Maybe a pbass or a used geddy lee jazz? I'm sure I'm going to get flamed.

  • te falta man

  • What do you think about the Warwick double buck? Comparable to the Musicman Stingray HH?

  • Both are amazing basses, and around the same price range, so you'll have to go to a guitar store and try them out. I prefer Stingrays for slapping and jazz type music, but Warwicks also sound very good. It just depends on the feel I guess, Stingrays are a bit heavier. Just try them out!

    Merry Christmas Eve!

  • Yea i went and played them both yesterday and i found that the stingray was easier to get that "traditional" warm bass tone. But since i have small hands the warwick plays easier. I think im going to go with the Warwick. Also with the switches it worked well the series/parallel settings were both sweet. The single coils did have humming when played that way.

  • Like I said, they're both excellent basses so if you like the feel of the Warwick then go for it. They're high-end MEC pickups, there shouldn't be any humming, it might've been the amp/store that was making extra noise.

  • warwick bouble bucks are better because iv got a double buck and a stingray there is more you can do with the tone of warwick and has a larger variety of sounds, but stingrays are still very good, try them both out its up to you really on what suits you

  • Get this I ended getting a Fender Precision Deluxe because I got a ridiculous deal. I couldn't be happier I think a better tone then both of those basses but a slower neck.

  • Incredible bass (though I'm a fan of the Jazz pups rather than buckers)and great technique.

    Very clean, great groove.

  • almost sounds like chameleon but then it changes...

  • i love your bass and your style of playing the bass

  • noo! me muero, me impresionante... el acid jazz de jamiroquai y tu bajo, quedan muy buenos... una formula exisita, felicitaciones =) y arriba jamiroquai bo!

    flO

  • nice sound

  • not bad , but theres a fast part that u don't play....and the other parts of this song are easy, but the bass is good and your timeing is also!:)

  • -.-grooooooooooooovie!!!!

  • that low E sounds amazing! ive wanted a warwick like that for so long but, i went with spector instead (LX euro 5string). but i wish i had the money for both. im definatly going to get a warwick next.

JAM-sweet bass playing, keep it up!

  • Hey

Very nice cover and good video overall, You are very good on bass guitar and i have seen both jamiroquai cover you got and love the tone of the bass and you made my choice for going for that bass MUCH eaysier. 5/5

  • yo man.

i was wondering where you got it.

    i want one so bad.

dont have the money yet though.

haha i'll shit myself if i get one.

and did you change anything or mess

    with the tentiometers?

    because it sounds amazing.

or did it just come like that?

  • nothing, the bass is just like i bought it.Recorded directly through the soundcard

  • Warwick Thumb 6-String is best.

  • Your bass sound..I love it very much...bold but cruchy...I dont know how to describe it but I love it. Is it warwick corvette standard?

  • no, it's not a standart, it's a corvette double buck

  • funky

  • great job man...but yeah you need to work on your timming

  • Good cover! take a look at mine too^^

  • u need to work on timing ;)

  • it's really wierd to see the same bass i play death metal with being used to play jamaraqui. but good job man.

  • warwicks are for everything man, i play metal as well.....and ive seen people use warwick for jazz and regeatone as well

  • nice bass, but you gotta practice more and get the rhythm and notes right. this was the first song i learned on bass..good place to start.

  • one of the most excelent basses out there.

  • Not to crap on you, homes, but... Look, this goes for everyone: if you're going to post your playing on youtube, could you play the right notes! And timing? Just cause you have a video camera doesn't mean you're ready. Practice first, then unleash yourself on the world.

  • Before knocking somebody else, you might want to post your "perfection" first!! The rest of us thought he done a great job ;)

  • Great job!

  • great tone and great feel!

  • i love this song. i saw a warwick corvette 5 string new on ebay for 500 buy it now. i was so pissed that my parents wouldnt buy it.

  • Practice?

  • pretty good

  • I'm gonna go learn that :)

  • I love the tone of your bass, nice!

  • Timing is a little off, but sounds good. Beautiful bass.

  • warrick basses are well worth the money listen to the tone sounds like a fretless but it nit
