with a 4 cylinder ford escort, you end up with the infamous "one tire fire" because it just hasnt got enough power to spin both. its very embarassing if you're trying a burn out and only 1 wheel is spinning. especially on the drag strip

If you knew anything about a rear differential then you would know that in an open diff, it does not matter how much power you have once one wheel breaks traction all the power will go to that one wheel... Im pretty dang sure that this car has a touch more power than you 4cylinder, unless its breaking 380
