The movie isn't backwards. Snakes would do that if those dirty mean useless humans keep on bothering the snake and threatning it. Snakes cannot fight when digesting a meal, and takes them forever to digest. So when in peril, snakes would have to spit their food out, then go and defend itself.

The film was taken in Brazil, the Portugese accent and the Amazon jungle are there, so it can't be a Hippo, and the size and shape of the dead animal don't match a Hippo anyway...

Thats not a full grown hippo. At best its a baby. full grown, adult hippos weigh in excess of 4000 lbs, there isnt a snake or crocodile alive on this planet that can go after an adult hippo.

Male lions on the other hand can and do in fact eat adult hippos if they are hungry enough. Tigers that have been raised in Africa also have been known to go after adult hippos.

That is NOT a hippo...it is a capybara (large rodent) native to Brazil. Hence the labguage of the reel in Portuguese.
