Have one track for the audio running all the way through, then several video tracks that interweave to create the effects. For the text (names) have a separate one for each letter, staggering them by a tiny amount so they fade in separately but all aligned so they spell the name at the end. The barn door effect is just using the left/right barn door effect in Vegas with 3 layers of video running. 1) the original video 2) the first bit that slides to the left 3) the bit that slides to the right

Can't remember, not too long, I think the longest part was sifting through the hours and hours of video and selecting the few seconds that made up this vid
