I don't see why you couldn't hunt with it in the areas where you can hunt with a 45 carbine, but Tommy gun is quite heavy. It feels like it was made to be shot from the hip so It would be at the bottom of my hunting weapons list.
@696trex interesting story behind that.. There was a woman who's husband had one of these and he had long since past.. She discovered it in the closet and decided that she was going to take it out hunting.. The woman, having never hunted and not knowing the law, didn't see any reason why she couldn't hunt with her husband's S.M.G.(submachine gun) until the authorities stopped to question her there in the woods.
im not going to spend 10,000 to 30,000 dollars on a full auto thompson, when i could actually SAVOR the ammo that i have and not blow it all in 5 sec. It would still be fun, but you can use a semi auto thompson in your back yard (i live in the country) and you cannot do that with a full auto thompson!
my friends dad has one just like this, it was pretty heavy and he had a drum clip for it to,it sucked i didnt get to shoot it because he was out of ammo for it.
You gotta love auto-ordnance.

what's the fun in a semi-auto tommy gun?
PickofDestiny08 2 years ago
a lot less fun that a full auto would have been.... I was just testing its accuracy
panrobercik 2 years ago
lol yeah, full-auto thompsons can run from $10,000-30,000!

I've seen full auto M1A1s for 10,000. Were you saying just the tommy gun?
PickofDestiny08 2 years ago
I'm in michigan. What makes it 25K, when the gun only cost around a grand?
