  • Yes it's taken ash 15 years to catch all 151 pokemon. Oh what's this? There's 400 more pokemon? Oh boy...you better start catching more ash.

  • how does the game end?

  • @Kellox17 watch?v=iWxHXFZOlIE

  • GUN

  • Electrically Charged Pokemons. Yes.

  • I found and bought this game at a fleamarket last year. It cost me 2 bucks.

  • Why is that Team Aqua member wearing a Team Magma-colored bandanna?

  • @SirDrRoger He's actually a character from the first Pokemon movie, just some random dude who challenged Ash to a battle in the beginning.

  • It's Megadrive Pokemon on GBC!

  • GUN, THE ROCK TRAINER

  • Jin, Shay, Gun? (since when is Brock's name, Gun?) Rocket, Uncle (WTF kind of name is that?), Umi..... and Tim! I laughed my ass off when I saw that.

  • It looks like a port of the Genesis/SNES game, Pocket Monsters...hmm...

  • super-charged Pokemons...you mean Pokemon on steroids...?

    Uncle?!

    Pikachu gets sunburned?!

  • Useless Fun Fact: The intro slide show of Ash (or Jin) throwing a pokeball is different if the game's played on a monocrome system. It changes to a similar intro taken from the first Pocket Monsters game for the Megadrive. I can't believe they actually changed something for the monocrome system.

  • @NusuttoSan Yeah I noticed that back when I first got the game! I was surprised to see it when I plugged it into my Super Gameboy.

  • @WhiteLionness It works on a Super Gameboy? Come to think of it, I've never tried these games on mine, thought my Super Gameboy's kinda flueky with functioning.

  • @NusuttoSan Yeah it does.. most of my other pirated games don't, though.

  • It seems as if the intro stole a bit from "Pokemon: Jade Edition", a bootleg for the Gameboy Color as well. The character pictures and names were stolen from that bootleg. However it seems as if the rest of the introduction is original. Either that, or it's vice versa.

    Also:

    ELECTRICLLY CHARGED POKEMANZ.

  • hahaha Judging on how you turned it off, you seemed pretty pissed hahaha

  • i actually liked this better than the official pokemon games

  • Why don´t you throw the fucking cartridge in the end of the vid. just away? Man these games are just weird.....btw.... first he is called ash then Jin WTF?!

  • ow...

  • Jin, Shay, Gun, Rocket, ???, ???, Tim I lol'd hard.

What are the names of the other two that I listed as question marks? I can't read their title cards.

  • @LuigiGodzillaGirl Uncle and Umi, ha.

  • @WhiteLionness

    ROFL awesome!

  • @person1860 Thank you for the compliment! :P

  • I like it I just want it! Where can I get this game?

  • @cjg2801 check ebay

  • "Ash Ketchum is on a mission to become the world's greatest Pokemon trainer Although he's successfully captured many of the 151 types of electrically charged Pokemons" Apparently Pokemon have batteries that need to be charged up before battling.

  • Lol Pokemons XD

  • Starring Jin! Shay! Gun! Rocket!...... these random guys!.... and Tim!

  • @GeoVII

    lol'd

  • Jin? Shay, GUN>?!?!?!>?!>?!>>?! Rocket? Tim?!

  • The Pictures look like the ones in the TV show/ movie.0_0

  • That was actually a decent intro; the rest of the game, trashy, weird, and had ugly sprites.

  • @pokemario6456 well, the part with the pictures. The story is fat.

  • It looks like they use MS paint for the font. 0:11

  • I mean, the maker of the bootleg, not the maker of this video.

  • The maker of this FAILS. The plural version of pokemon IS STILL pokemon, NOT pokemons. =_=

  • that is nothing like the movies =_= ((XD))

  • wow i think the pictures at the beginning are quite good for a gbc...why doesn´t nintendo add such things...

  • HOLY SHIT BROCK HAS A GUN

  • @Spagettieater9000 Correction Brock is(in his all) a gun.

  • For some reason, I feel that the sprite of Pikachu in this pirate is similar to the ones in Pocket Monsters SNES. Just a little judgment since when Pika gets hit, it showed a similar sprite when he loses a life in Pocket Monsters.

  • @GameDude2 you're correct, it's definitely VERY similar. So is the basic layout of the first level, and some of the enemies.

  • @WhiteLionness Is that so? Then don't you think that this is like a GBC port of Pocket Monsters SNES? Except the music's a disaster. (Probably Yong Yong made this?)

  • @GameDude2 yeah it is almost like a port, but there are some big differences too, mainly because all the other levels are nothing like the SNES levels. So not sure if it can be considered a port, what do you think?

  • @WhiteLionness Well, since I haven't seen any of the other levels yet, I can't comment about it. I'll see to it if I come across a rom of this, if there's a dumped one available. (Despite I don't really rely that much on roms anymore.) So for now, I think it's more suitable if this was called an adaptation of the SNES Pocket Monsters game rather than a port. XD

  • omg i have this got zelda ages and seasons on it aswell as pikachu land lmaoo XD

  • Brock is called "Gun". ROFLMAO

  • i like how youre pikachu in every pirated game no matter what the story at the beginning is you end up having to rump or use sonics moves on enemies that have nothing to do with pokemon and collect upside down pokeballs

  • Well, apparently it's a US pirate. They didn't use Satoshi, Kasumi or Takeshi..

But why in the introduction they got their names right and later they couldn't..

  • Bootleg, Pirating? just the though of it makes me S@*& brix, how does having pirated games not make you nervous?

  • Cuz there's really no way of anyone to trace owning a pirated game back to you. Plus, cops have better things to do than to track down people who own pirated games.. if u tell a policeman or whatnot in my city, they'd probably just laugh at u. They have better things to deal with than tracking down pirated games. And even if you post a pirated game on ebay, the most they'll do is remove the listing (but very rarely), but they wouldn't report you to authorities or anything.

  • @TelekineticMoron I think of it as the equivalent to owning a burned DVD or CD.

  • this is a port on the snes one

  • hey, where can i find all the games you got?

  • ebay

  • how's the control?

  • Not bad at all! It just looks bad in this video cuz I'm trying to hold the camera steady and play both sides of the GBA with 1 hand.

I can beat the game in an hour or so.. that says a lot (of good) about control! Usually when I game has horrible control, you can't even get through the first level.

  • 0_0 a Yongyong game with GOOD controls?!?

  • His normal jump looks ok (like at 1:03), but when he gets hit yeah he looks pretty stupid

  • shay's face scared me xD

  • good grief...Shay is quite scary looking..but then again..so is gun...and tim..and *shivers* uncle... and Jin....Oh bah, they're just all scary!

  • What's with all the crazy character names??

  • lol wtf.

It looks hard to play though.

  • It's actually not, I can beat it within 30 minutes or so, it just looks hard cuz I'm trying to play with only like 3 fingers while trying to hold the camera steady. If I had a different way to hold the camera up, i'd do much better playing it.

  • Me must get electrically charged pokemons! XD

  • ELECTRICALLY CHARGED MONSTERS!!!

I think those live in the electric monsters world.? :P

  • @RunnerofJoe no, they live in the world of engrish.

  • Wow... that one was weird... but by the sounds, 9t looks like it was also made by Yong Yong...

  • this is made by the same people that made sonic adventure 7, sonic 3d blast 5, Pokemon adventure, and rockman 8

  • Ok, what the hell does a pikachu doing a super jump have to do with killing Mewtwo? Lol.

  • how did u get this game?

  • ebay

  • This is just the exact same game as Pocket Monsters for Genesis and Pocket Monsters(PD) for SNES, just downgraded for gbc. If you want to play something that actually looks better than this crap, play those :p

  • And the NES Pirate simply called Pocket Monster, which is supposedly a prequel, but I don't know if it were made by the same company.

  • i hate bootlegs!

they cant get near to the luster of the REAL GAMES!

  • Oh, you're just not playing the right ones. Some of the bootlegs I've seen are great explorations of the Pokemon universe, the things that the existing games should do, but don't.

  • Pokemons?

    All 151 electrically charged?

    Jin, Shay, Gun, Rocket?

    Wtf is this?!

  • Don't forget Uncle!

  • Don't forget Tim!

  • Pokemons?

  • im surprised at this, its a gbc game? wow. just, wow. the graphics are incredible, and the portraits are very well made. looks like a gba game.

  • i gotta admit, the screenshots from the show are pretty good looking for gbc.

  • well the incorrect title cards are the same as PKMN jade SP edition, except misty is now SHAY instead of SHnY.

  • it does actually say SHAY in that one too, but the top part of the A is cut off cuz of crappy pixels.

  • the same kind of shit that explodes out of your mom's asscrack

  • Hey-o, i like the comeback.

  • lol thanks.. bitchy comments like that deserve a bitchy response from me

  • Weird, they named the characters correctly in the intro story, then named them wrong in the portraits.

And there were many other mistakes, like saying there were "151 electrically charged Pokemons". Besides the plural thing, there were 151 Pokemon total, not electrical ones. And I just love how the game stars only Pikachu, despite the story talking about Ash being the one on a mission.

  • heh yeah that's a pirated game for you. they're often times made in some 3rd-world armpit country and sold on black markets, and have horrible english too. in fact, the english in this game is good compared to a lot of others! but you're right, the stuff they talk about make no sense.

  • Can someone please dump this so the world can play this game? This sounds really interesting

  • I'd dump it if I knew how. One just sold on ebay, u can try to contact the winning bidder and pester them to dump it lol.

  • Lol

I just saw that same copy on Ebay before a couple of days ago.

I actually was almost going to buy it for collection purposes until i read the guys fine print saying that "the box has slight damages" He never mentions what kind of damage and i wasn't about to get any surprises and have it come to me with a box that had holes in it.

Not for something that costs $26 bucks. lol

  • Heh no kidding, I would've liked to own the box and manual but since I already have the game itself I wasn't gonna pay $26 to have a duplicate game and then just a box and manual.

  • Lol Yeah.

With that kind of money i would at least want to be completely assured that the box is in good condition. I've had disappointing surprises before.

If you used Ebay to buy complete games frequently you can probably relate to my awful surprises. lol

I guess it just sucks that the game is so hard to come by........ Any idea where this game originated from by any chance?

Im from the NJ/NY area where bootlegs are sold TO often and i never ran into this game on the street. =/

  • AFAIK it's a matter of buying and using ROM dumping tools - I'm not sure where ROM dumping devices are sold, but with video game piracy rampant in many countries I figure it would be easy to find such a device in certain places.

  • Yeah true. I might give Chinatown,NY a try. They normally have a lot of bootleg or Pirated games in certain places. Worst case scenario i could always try to find the supplies there to make the game myself.

  • JIN GUN ROCKET

  • Wow thats really interesting, I wonder where it came from

This makes me really appreciate the official pokemon games...

  • I know, i'm curious about its origins as well, and this video's been up for over a year and so far no one else knows either.

  • What is this I don't even...

  • Tim was totally my favorite character in the TV show.

    :3

  • GUN vs. ROCKET

    WHO WILL WIN

  • It seems like pirates always think their names for the characters are better... I've seen it before in some pirate games CrashManEXE showed.

  • ELECTRICALLY CHARGED POKEMONS

  • Yuck, the music murders my ears!

  • lol, it sounds even worse (believe it or not) if you put it in that Super Gameboy adapter for SNES. Even more ear piercing, if that's even possible.

  • Kinda Hard...?

  • Not as hard as it looks, I can beat the game within an hour, just looks harder cuz i'm trying to play (and sucking miserably at it) with the use of only 2 fingers, one finger on the control pad and the other on the A button.

  • You kidding me?

  • Um, no?

  • I'm pretty much guessing it's the GBC version of the Pocket Monsters pirate for the SNES and Genesis.

  • i have one of those too 8DDDD

mine says pokemon diamond, i got it about 8 years ago in hong kong

  • Was that Ambipom that Pikachu took down?

  • actually had pics 4rom the movie...

  • This brings back a certain game *cough*Super Mario Bros. 2*cough* to mind, in terms of design, anyway.

  • -___-"

i bet thered be one asshole willing to pay top dollar for it

  • Of course.. or a couple, even. Back when it first "came out", Pokemon Shiny Gold I noticed would sell for $107-ish on ebay, people would fight over it like crazy. How stupid.

  • all over a bootleg game -__-"

  • I know! Unless they're really, REALLY cool, they're a huge waste of money.

  • ive seen a few kool pokemon bootlegs

i think it was for the nes the 1 with totadile

    and chickorita :D

  • the SNES one u mean? yeah that one is a lot of fun, i actually own that one and don't regret buying it.

  • What the... for some reason the intro has slightly catchy music.

  • "Jin"? Didn't it just say "Ash"? :S

  • yeah! just one of the many reasons to love bootleg games

  • electricly charged pokemon? So they are all electric types? 0.0

  • Oh wow, I played the original game a long time ago. I think it was for snes, but I'm not sure...

  • ya i think someone made a hack of mario 3 for SNES, redoing the graphics to look like pokemon and calling it mewtwo strikes back, but i don't think it has any relation to this one.

  • whats is boot leg

  • since your young, I'll tell you.

In the video game world, a bootleg can be a number of things, but in this case it's when pirates (usually in China or Japan) take an existing game, throw sprites from other games in it (or make new ones) to market it as a new game.

For the game in this vid, they took some platform game, threw Pikachu in it and put pokemon in the title so someone would buy it.

    :P

Sometimes this happens in a very humorous way.

  • wtffffffffffff

  • i wish i had this game! I hope somebody will post the ROM online!

i love this video. please post more vids of silly fakes. what are your opinions on digimon or viva pinata?

  • Ill buy it

  • tim's the best cause he's called tim

  • lol jin gun shay rocket tim

  • I know exactly which one your talking about did it come pact with other pokemon games like a really bad dub of Pokemon Gold and Silver I used this game only to steal the starters from it lol.

  • LMAO at the intro. I never knew Poke Balls were destructive bombs.

  • there's a mario 3 hack called mewtwo strikes back as well.

  • That's an interesting cartridge.

  • that looked terrible, they called the chars. ash misty and brock in the beginning but while showing their pictures, they were given different names like Jin, Shay, and Guy???

  • LOL,it was actually Gun

  • the point is, this game sux XD

  • I enjoy playing it... it probably looks annoying cuz I kept getting hit and killed.. the controls aren't bad, it's just impossible to play it well by holding my camera and playing it with the same hand at the same time

  • oic, if someone had mentioned that, i would've had reserved judgement but unfortunately i've suffered these minuses :(. i wouldn't mind seeing more to this game then :D.

  • If I could get someone to hold the camera while I play the game, I could then be able to play the game WELL, and it would look way more enjoyable.

  • LOL, Pokemons :D

  • Hey no one's asking you to watch the whole 1:21 lol, what would you do with the time you got back anyway? Jack off?

  • Right on! It gets annoying when people say stuff like "I want my 1:21 of life back!"

  • don't be rude to my friend

  • fingers around my DIIIIICCKKKK!!

  • lol

  • Yeah and If your messing with my friend (WhiteLioness)I'm gonna mess with you back!

  • "Electrically charged", "successfully captured all 151". This is illogical. How can Mewtwo then strike back? This makes no sense at all.

Also, the music at 00:51 is a nightmare.

This has to be one of the worst Pokémon bootlegs ever created.

  • what is bootleg?

  • can the pokemon trainers get hurt? because im tired of the RPG style when it comes to the other games

  • Ash wants to becomes the world's greatest Pokemon trainer!

I use to have this back in the day. lol

  • LOL I HAVE THIS

  • OMG it reminds me of that digimon game they just friggin changed the sprites

  • MY BROTHER HAS THAT!!!

  • ....omg....a bootleg of a BOOTLEG!!! holy hell they are desperate....lol poo

  • Actually, some pirate games are original (like a few in my pirate game video collection) but I might be wrong at this point.

And to Gameking, the only pirate game that is truly a Sonic ripoff is Pokemon Adventure. A very bad one I might add.

  • I know this has been said already but this game is closely identical to the Genesis bootleg. The only notable difference is that you can do the electric attack whereas in the Genesis one you can't.

It'd be interesting if there's a ROM of this game floating around in the Internet, but I probably doubt that there is one..

  • original? It's a sonic ripoff, that's not original in any way.

  • how do u bootleg a game?

  • OH MEMORIES I paid 60 dollars when I was 10 for this garbage it was ALL the pkmn games and more. Tetris and Super Mario land was all I liked this game was a good Starter pkmn producer tho.

  • the ones i saw are all the ones that your not a big fan of which are hacks of regular games like the ones you are talking about and they are at least 20 us dollars so thats a lot for a fake game. but it would be fun to fool your friends by telling them you got a super rare never released ultra valuable game lol

  • oh, lol, yeah the ones that are hacks of regular games are the ones that are most frequently seen on ebay these days. i'm most interested in the ones such as the one in this video, mostly of which are pirated gameboy color games, but those are REALLY hard to find!

  • haha pretty cool video, i was actually looking on ebay for some fake pokemon games but i cant find any, so you got this from ebay? 5 stars lol

  • ohh to answer your question directly, yep i got it off ebay.

  • thanks for the reply your right every now and then there is one going on ebay i actually saw the most on ebay in the uk. its pretty ironic because there are so many guides on ebay telling you not to buy and how to spot bootlegs but im actually looking for one lol. now that im a lifeguard the moneys gonna be rolling in ill probably buy some and try to put up a video (pokemon darkcry looks really cool)

  • that's a dumb bootleg...Ash/(then changes to Jin) "completed" the pokedex, but is still eluded by Mewtwo...

  • Do you look at the feedback, and try from different sellers?
