  • Jenny: I have purchased many copies of your book as gifts for friends. I have many raw food publications and I always return to your book. We would love to have an autographed photo of you to display in our kitchen.

  • Looks delicious!

  • And im just curious - what for are those two large stoves behind You? :D

  • great video thank you

  • I thought soups were supposed to be hot!

  • @xxembrassemoixx Some soups are served chilled, but she says below that you may gently warm it (keeping it under 104-115°F to keep it raw and preserve nutrients).

  • i think this video missed the point, that soups dont use blenders... and the whole raw thing... BUT i only want to be able to digest kale better, that why i use soup.

  • I put in about 3 tsp cayenne and 1 tsp pepper and 1 tsp crushed red. Spice is great.

Can I make by from adding my juiced veggies.

  • Why aren't more people like this on the Food channel? We need some vegan cooks, or "uncooking" vegan shows.

  • That's a shake not a soup. The only soup that takes 2 minutes comes in a can.

  • Great sharing! May I ask where you purchased those wonderful glass jars?

    Much appreciation. :)

  • @1easyflow get them at Wal-Mart or here in Canada Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart

  • watch out. a lot of soybeans are genetically modified. make sure its organic

  • Hi Jennifer, could you tell me the name of the blender you're using, please?

  • This sounds sooooo incredibly good! SUBBED!

  • Yes, just warm it on the stove in a saucepan, over very low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring.

    Jenny

  • Can you warm up the soup?

  • @jackieelectric I read that you can heat it up to about 110 degrees or so without killing the nutrients and enzymes. I think the "magic number" is 115 degrees. If you have a high-speed blender, you can blend the soup until the friction of the blender heats it up.

  • This is awesome!

  • She's not very tall.

  • This soup is absolutely amazing!! I just made it and am eating it right now. You must try this. This would be fantastic for a summer picnic along with some chopped up veggies to add for some crunch.

    Bravo Jennifer!

  • soaked nuts and seeds taste delious!

  • Hi,

Yes--you can definitely heat the soup! Just heat it on the stove on low till it's just warm to the touch of your finger.

  • thnx jeniffer for your wonderful recipes,i was wondering if heating the soup alittle was okay

  • Love it, i am try this soup, is very yummmmmmmmmm, thanks.

  • day 1 of the raw food diet. i just made this for dinner. it's not too bad. might take my palette a couple of days to adjust i think. video wonderfully presented. thanks.

  • I want to try this sometime soon. Is there enough protein to have it as a complete meal?

  • @derekandkeyasha01 Humans don't need "protein". Check out a video called "the protein myth". The human body can process the amino acids in vegetables, fruits, and nuts and make its own protein from them.

  • @emilyj1987 Thanks for the info, I actually found this out few weeks ago! Again thanks for the help!!

  • @emilyj1987 but nuts have protein in them so thats your source of protein :)

  • awsome!! im trying this out first thing tommorrow :)

  • she always looks so awkward when shes using the bender or processor, makes me laugh

  • That looks like green smoothie not soup..

  • Wow, there's always one 'dud' amongst the comments ... one person actually DIDN'T like this video ... weird!

  • this looks good, but when you cut your veggies, you take way too much off the top.

    that is needless waste.

  • @noorieboorie Cutting veggies like that is ok. You can save them and freeze them, they make a great vegtable stock. Its not needless waste.

  • i went raw 2 weeks ago to try and get rid of my lower back pain but these recipes such as this one just taste nasty to me. how long does it usually take before i can eat this stuff without wanting to heave? by the way, my back pain is completely gone so i'm not going back to cooked no matter what..

  • @eldrama2 Congrats on your back pain being gone. I am in the same boat as you. I am in the same boat as you..It has been about 2 weeks as well..I did include some cooked vegan because I had a hard time going 100 % raw..I eat nuts and seeds, sprouts, seaweeds, raw nut butters, raw honey, fruits, veggies..I have tried the soup..didn't go down okay, next time I think I will some spices I like to make it taste better..Good luck

  • @soniyamystical hey, thanks for your input. i'm kinda having a hard time with this. it just mostly tastes so bad except for the raw desserts, they're pretty good, but fattening. i crave my cooked. how about you? have you found any recipes that you honestly like? :)

  • @eldrama2 right now it's winter, so can't do the soup..I miss my warm/hot food. In the summer I can do the soups etc..Right now I have included vegan cooked food, like steamed veggies and steamed potatoes. I think I will do like 60% raw and 40% cooked vegan, works for me now. I like shakes, like for breakfast, I make a banana shake with almond milk, very filling. Good luck

  • I mean gorgeous ;)

  • Also, because I haven't seen a comment that says so, Jennifer you are so georgeous.

  • I became 90% raw about 3 weeks ago and I'm convinced that this is how we should all be eating. I still eat meat, but in very modest quantites (never more than 200 grams at a time, and no red). I also eat no dairy products or refined starches.

There is something more "human" about this diet. I was a lover of cooked food and always ate very healthily, but the difference in how I feel eating raw is astounding. I have more energy and a clearer mind.

  • I think the blender is a Kitchen Aid 5 speed Blender....

  • whatkind of blender is that?

  • i´m from Germany, i like to watch your moovies. There are not many German videos about raw foot and how to prepare it. So, thanks

  • i really enjoyed all of your videos!

  • can u heat it up a bit? just a bit so is still raw!?? I like warm soup!

  • you rock :)

  • I bought your book, I love your recipe's I will try this one today

  • You are great... I really am inspired to take a raw challenge with your videos!

  • thanks for this recipe. I just made it, it's surprisingly good.

Now I gotta get my hands on that book, I hope there're some bean recipes in there. thanks alot!

  • im going to the store to pick up some veggies to make this tomorrow :)

  • My friend made this since shes a vegan, and she said it was disgusting....

    That was her opinion

  • what was the blender brand called.

  • thankyou, this video is very helpful.

  • I got the book, so if anyone wants the recipe for this send me a message. :)

  • Im really trying to understand why people want to go raw vegan and this cold soup isnt helping! I have to watch more to get it I guess

  • thank you for your wonderful videos!

  • WOW just wow you are truly amazing :)

    Great video

  • Looks really good...I was looking for raw soup recipes, thanks for sharing

  • Yum. Must get one of those blenders.

  • Jennifer, you need a show on the Food Network. :)

  • Since I have begun eating 'vegan' I have had a hard time 'finding' food to eat, which also means lose of appetite.

But now that I have seen how truely easy Jennifer makes delicious dishes in no time, I do not think I'll have a problem any longer :)

  • Great vid. Beautifully done. Love, Peace

    God bless

  • thanks for sharing:)
