Seriously, Does every kid these days have to just learn "tabs"??? Alot of videos i see on youtube of guitar are just some kid playing some famous song by a famous band...If kids or anyone just starting the guitar gets a guitar, actually study guitar or theory or whatever type of music you want to play. And then another thing, you have people saying good job...keep it up...or somthing like that...when you tell them that there just gunna keeep on playing "tabs" and get no-where with it.
thers nothing wrong with tabs. just another type of sheet music. the way i look at it is if it sounds good it is good. it's not like your gonna be watchin som1 on stage rip a guitar solo and your gonna be like "nope they dont know ther theory" it doesnt really matter. it's all just soundwaves in the end. I do agree that music theory does help though.

Not bad- I do the samething- a bit too much distortion sometimes though- and I cant sing also- puts my rythym off!
