Ok three weeks.. That explains it. Dude you do not need the silencers... Compounds need silencers. Get a whisker biscuit. Work on your form a bit. Make sure that your anchor point is the same EVERY TIME. Take your time when aiming. Always release in the middle of your breath out. Do not release when sucking air into your lungs. as that makes your shot go up!
Well it depends, i moved it a bit so it sits good now, but if i look down the bow the limbs ars slightly off from eachother, thanks so much for your help though, il post a vid of me shootin it soon and hopefully u can hav a look, by the way im about to press subscribe:)
When you string the bow, does the string lay in the groove or does it look like the string is out of line with the limbs. Another thing you might need to do is make sure that you have 7 to 8 inches of brace height. When I first got the bow I called Martin and asked then everything I could think of about the bow. Because the string that came with the bow was garbage. See about getting a fast flight or dynaflight string, you can get endless loop or flemish twist that is your call.
I am interested in this bow. I looked at the specks and they all are universal 28" draw. My draw is between 31-32". Is this going to be safe for the limbs to pull the extra 3 inches. Or do you think they will eventually break. I will probably get a #55 so i will be pulling #60 or more with the extra 3 inches. What is your opinion from owning the bow a year now?
My draw is 29.5 to 30.5 and it hasnt broke on me yet. All bows are rated at 28 inches. When I first got the bow last year. I called Martin and talked to one of the service people and they told me that 32 inches is really the max for the bow. I would recommend getting a new string for the bow right away. The string that came with the bow was a B-50 and it was to long. This bow loves Fast and Dyna. The flemish twist I think is better then standard. I think this bow is worth even penny spent on it.
@unplugged10 you wont have a problem drawing it the extra three inches my good sir. the reason it's measured to 28" is because they're saying it'll pull that much, at that draw(which is the "average" draw of a person) just because its measure at 28" doesnt mean its unsafe to pull it past that. happy shooting mate.
you cant shoot off the shelf with the martin jaguar bow, i have this bow too and the string that came with it got messed up within the first two weeks
Yeah the shelf goes way pass the center line. The string that came with the bow was to Dacron and it was long long. I have a fast flight endless loop and a Dynaflight Flemish Twist string. I like the flemish twist the best. I also changed my rest to a Tiger Tuff one and I love it. When it gets nice I will make a new video.
@countryboyoutdoors11 good tip man aim small miss small...thats the best tip ever, when i first started shooting thats what my dad told me and its been carved in my brain ever since haha.

Sry for askin so many questions, but is it ok to always leave the string on?
turnerskatepark 2 months ago
No, you cant leave the string on full time. If you do the limbs will set and you will start to lose power.
SamLFisher 2 months ago
And i forgot to say my bow didnt come with a bowstringer so i did it by hand, if that caused any problems you can think of let my know, thanks

can this take down a fullsize deer

No gloves work pretty good for bowfishing, where a tab or glove gets wet.
Put an AMS reel on that thing and nuke some carp!
And of course video it :)

Is this bow capable of white tail deer hunting?
EthanJayy 7 months ago
A 40 pound bow can take down a whitetail. 55 with the right placement can take down an elk.
SamLFisher 7 months ago
@SamLFisher I have seen a 53 lbs homemade recurve take down a bear.

It is called No Glov and it sucks if you have large hands. But if you have thinner fingers then it works great.

The rest is ok if you shoot carbon. I switched to cedar so the rest is to small.

just to be clear haveing a higher drawweight does make it more powerful right?
k00lkane 1 year ago
Yes having a higher draw weight gives you a faster arrow.
SamLFisher 1 year ago
