Those emblems allow Polymar to do the follow:

-With at least one emblem, cancel 236+Attack into his other special attack (Handou Sandangeri, Wall bounce punch, and/or another 214+attack[into optional emblem mixups).

-With three emblems, perform level 3 super (236+2 attacks)

So how exactly is Karas's infinite done?

Karas has several infinites: there's a the slide infinite (chage back, forward+B, d/b+C, charge back, forward+b, d/b+C [btw you're supposed to charge the next slide while d/b+C sweep hits], and corner air-to-ground-to-air w/aerial megacrash infinites that sometimes involve an assist. Yaris does these in later recorded matches.
