what kind of scanner is that? got me a 2011 wrx, only complaint is that i don't have a center differential! 6 speed manual would be nice. but I get 22 mpg allcity in mine. wrx's still get it though! wish I had the money for an STi, but no. let me know if your on any forums. thanks

Good video , just ordered 2012 satin white pearl WRX. Plan on tuning it so why spend the extra 10k like you said. Awesome car , would live to see an Evo and STI comparison video! Honestly , regardless of the Evo advantages/ disadvantages , it doesn't sound as good as an STI .

i talked to one guy that test drove it. and he said that the car is awesome, but the interior just sucks. a lot of cheap plastic which turns me off a bit. nice vid and awesome hatchback, the sedan doesn't look good at all for 2011

what editing software are you using to be able to have picture in picture from two different video cameras? What mount is that for the GoPro HD? How do you sync the two videos so that they are showing at the same exact time? I have an Inspiron E1705 laptop with an Intel Core duo processor T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate operating system, ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 graphics,17" color screen. Will I be able to edit and upload videos to youtube from the GoPro HD?

@ussprinceton2004 Hi there. I am using iMovie with OS X Snow Leopard. It comes built in with these features. The mount is the Motorsport suction cup mount which comes with most Go Pros. I just use my eye to sync the to clips, close enough for me. Yeah you'll be able to edit and upload, but with the low specs of your computer it might take days for a program to render the clips or even download them from a camera. Hope that helped.

Hey after a bad experience buying a used STi I've stayed away for a while now but think that I'll purchase a 2011 later this year. That being said my question to you would be, How more reliable is the 2011 to be vs your old 2008 or even an older GD?

@cannedtuna Hey, there is nothing like buying a new car; you get warranty, the peace of mind that no one else has smashed on it before you and it is just NEW! For reliability from GR to GD, tough to say, the newer cars have more to go wrong, like electronics and things of that nature, but they have also been finely tuned over the years. From '08 to '11, I would not buy any first year car for a particular generation, they always seem to have more problems.

@cannedtuna I have a 2011 wrx limited. I like your review and the honesty of STI vs WRX. Both great cars, depending on what you`re looking for. I have the money for the STI, but preferred the pull of the WRX and ride is a bit more compliant vs the track nature of the STI. Can`t go wrong with either car. Given that the STI is 200 lbs heavier, the extra horsepower does not make much difference, but STI has some serious brakes! 3000 bucks to replace mind you, but awesome car. Great review

Hey man videos are great. Don't worry about it. I have some questions for you. I love the 2011 STI hatch, just love it. I am torn though because every review I read says to but the Mits Evo MR. I can't find a single review that is for the STI. I am moving to Virginia in a month or so and want something for the snow, mountains, and hauling skiis / snowboards. This will obviously be a daily driver as well. Any input?

@walkerdarin2003 Thanks! In order for you to decide between an STi and an EVO is to drive them back to back. They will both be great cars in the snow and both have their unique advantages. Sounds like the hatch would be beneficial to you because of skiing and boarding. So much easier with the hatch!
