He'll likely be kept in isolation. If he were allowed to socialise with the other inmates, he probably wouldn't last long. Perhaps he does deserve to die, but Norway is a wonderful country with beautiful values. He will be protected, even though he probably doesn't deserve it. However, with regards to what he deserves, I suspect that the worst punishment he could possibly recieve would be if he ever manages to understand the horror of what he has done.

Norwegian police do not carry guns with them at all times. That doesn't mean they don't use them when needed. I don't think you realize the difference. And if you still think this doesn't work, since 1945 to 2010 there's been 12 policemen killed while on duty. 5 of them were killed in car chases or accidents. And while the other incidents were violent, policemen carrying a gun in other countries get killed all the time.

@Rosebunse He will most likely be sentenced to "forvaring" which means he will be locked up indefinatly pretty much meaning lifetime unless it seems appropriate to let him out which there never will. If they find him insane he will be sentenced to a phsycriatic hospital until he is "healthy".. but thats not likely.

The media reporting in the UK of this is very weird. First, they said 'teenagers' were killed. But then they started to use the word 'youth.' From what I have seen so far, though, on videos, the people on the Island were young adults in their early-twenties. Certainly, the people in this vid are not 'children.' One guy looks like he needs to shave twice a day.
