  • The BBQ here is phenomenal. Though it's not quite as good as Guy makes it look. Don't get me wrong it's fantastic but it's not worth driving across the country for.

  • I used to watch the Food Network a lot a few years ago but I stopped watching television altogether about a year ago. Before I stopped I remember Guy Fieri on that TV show "The Next Food Network Star" (I don't know if it is still being shown) and it is interesting how his rise to success has been recorded from the beginning. I remember watching Bobby Flay and other top chefs/critics criticizing on Fieri's ability to work in front of the camera and how he should present himself. Congrats Fieri :)

  • I was just there last night and my only complaint is that I should've gotten the full rack of st louis ribs instead of the half!! It's really that good - better!!!

  • Just went to this place while in town on business. AMAZING!!!! Had the baby back ribs and they were incredible. But the pieces of brisket in the beans made me want to order the brisket next time! Oh... there WILL be a next time!!!

    If/when you go, good luck parking! Don't worry though, it's totally worth walking to!

I don't care how famous you are if thats how he handles food I would never eat at his establishment. From open toe sandals in the kitchen, to double dipping in food. That's just fucked up.

    About 90% of the BBQ joints in Texas use oak as their main wood. Mesquite is garbage for slow-smoking meats. It's much better for grilling steaks, burgers, etc.

  • real texas brisket is slow smoked (8+ hours) with hickory or mesquite. we don't use apple or oak, or rubs, or anything these folks are using.

  • Well i'm from tx all my life 46 yrs and i use rub,pecan ,hickory and oak wood. The rub makes it so good you don't need to drown it in sauce. Put the rub on over night and right before it goes on the smoker.
