  • i heard this is the original haunted house. is that true

  • @M80sgirl no the first was in California.

  • The Haunted Mansion in Tokyo is an exact replica of the one in Florida but the Pirates of the Caribbean is more like the one in California. I know because I've been to all 3, Florida, California and Tokyo.

  • I saw it and went, it looks the same as every disneyland, then the people were in the shot and I went OMG JAPANESE PEOPLE! No racism intended... :)

  • I think the guy who does the voice for the haunted mansion in tokyo, is way less scary than the dude in the haunted mansion in california

  • 6:50 If you go there, you have to look immediately at the ceiling so that you will see a man was hanging!!!!

  • Excellent footage of both parts, thank you for posting this. ^^ However, I was wondering what is the name of the song you used throughout the queue line? I know it's Grim Grinning Ghosts but can you tell me what version, please? Thank you ^^

  • I've always been facsinared by toykyo..

  • wait.... why would a Victorian/ Colonial Georgian styled house be in Japan... since all the other areas are themed ie; disneyland paris links the american georgian colonial house in the wild west as it suits the peroid during that time!

Again the graves are in english and japanese in style *facepalm*

Also disney is awful particular European versions since the language changes each time being a lucky guessing game to get an english voice speaking or its just random shit in a haunted house!

  • Ive been here and one in cali :D but i wanna go to the one in florida~ :(

  • 私は何を理解していない

  • No entendii nadaaaaaaaaaaaa jajajaja

  • it's gone now

  • @DisneyGirlFan111 well i've only ever been to the one in orlando and I do enjoy the ride. u just sit in the little buggie & ride thru the mansion. i still hav fun and laugh and get spoked no matter how many times i get on.

  • I really want to go to paris BADLY!! :(

  • that music was so annoying.

  • I love it

  • At least it didn't have that little kid from Ju-on...

  • @zzman305 lol. he would do a retard backwards decrepid crabwalk

  • 痛ましいコメントが多いな

  • this is great i like this

  • ooh... scary picture looks angry. well, THATS WHAT HE GETS FOR NOT HIRING HOUSEKEEPING-

  • i thought this was in Florida until i saw the ppl. No offense srry i just did

  • @popcornscience3 Even then, how could you tell? ;)

  • @SCE2AUX easy buddy

  • @SCE2AUX It's not that hard to tell. The Tokyo D-Land layout is pretty much the same as the WDW (at least before WDW added the new stuff recently). Tokyo D-Land used the same architecture as WDW to provide a subtle segue from Fantasyland (where the Mansion is based) to Westernland.

  • in this dinsneyland look like there are more adults than child...

  • Anybody knows what does the Ghost Host say ?

    Thank you

  • the haunted mansion in paris can't compare to any other.

it's just simply amazing and far more scarier.

  • its in japanese lol figures

  • I like Disneyland in California. Been there once. Disneyworld is a lot better than the one in California.

  • hellla copied anaheim. just go to cali's disneyland, LOL.

  • me im disneyland dude not a freaking disney world i mean walt made disneyland first and plus disney land is everywhere while disney world is in 1 place

  • Why are the tombstones in english? do they also have some in japanese, but you're not showing them?

  • Guys, if you compare Disneyland in Tokyo with one in Paris will there be SIGNIFICANT difference? Is it worth going there, to the one on Tokyo?

  • as the intro song called?

  • I rode this 4 times and I about cried every time:)

  • @angelkissedx3

    Why did you cry!?

    XD

  • wow is exactly the same as the one i went in the U.S

  • Our duck "Skimmer"

Shouldn`t have visted the neighbours before dinner

    Poor ducky....

  • the voice are better than in france

  • why would they put the letters in english if there are just a bunch of japanese people

  • @chakas880

Cuz haunted mansion isn`t originally from japan... i think....

if you want me to answer any questions about tokyo disneyland/sea,

    ask me~~~~~~

  • lol you know how they talk at 5:10~ I was watching some other vid about disneyland in paris (the phantom manor) and when they talk for their ride, it's like really fitting and creepy lol

  • the ghost host sounds 100 more badass in Japanese xD

  • @MasterLingLingX Especially his blood-curdling laugh just before the lights go out!

  • OK. Just for REAL clarification! Disneyland opened first. It opened on July 17, 1955. Walt Disney World opened later on October 1, 1971.

  • Hey @211bj, I know what you mean. The attic at disney land is a lot better. One thing I discovered on the ride in Cali. is that the organ player is on a loop. I found this out after I yelled "Dude you suck" on the ride because he actually stopped moving for a few seconds. It was great.

  • just for clerifacation Disney World came out before Disney Land and i belive Disney World came out with all the good rides like rock'n rollercoaster tower of terrior haunted mansion ect i went to disney land and it is fairley small compared to disney World

  • @MAVcreations I agree wholeheartedly!

  • Tokyo Disneyland is way cleaner than the one in Cali.

  • The room with paitings is the same at Disneyland Paris.

  • This version is based on the one at Walt Disney World. The exterior looks almost exactly the same, and the library scene is included.

The Corridor of Doors is an improvment, and I wish they would upgrade the COD in the U.S.

In the attic, that version of the bride was the worst one, have they changed it since? Constance 2.0 at WDW is much better.

I like that this Mansion has more pop ups, but the ones in the attic should say "I do!" That was always a darkly humorous touch.

  • im sooooo used to hearing this in english(im from cali and i go to disneyland alot) so it soundss funny in japanese xD

  • I recommend Tokyo Disney Sea more. Less people, funner rides and better stuff and layout. Thats just my opinion :]. Plus when I went on this ride I nearly got trampled, so that kinda left a bad impression of the place. lol

  • Trust me I've been to all of the Disney Parks, & none of them are as good as the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

  • what music is it playing in the beginning?

  • That's the problem in going to Disneyland Tokyo and Hongkong. I don't understand their language(the narration) ! It would be nice and scarier if I understand what they're saying. I'd rather go to Disney World instead. I have been to Disneyland a couple of times now. It ain't bad trying something different.

  • One thing I actually notice about this ride, excluding Phantom Manor, I don't see a hearse with a ghost horse parked outside the Mansion because DL has a white hearse and WDW has black hearse

  • man... im so excited to go! :)

  • our duck ''skimmer''

    Shouldn't Have Visited

    The Neighbors Before Dinner

aw ): if that story was true then i would feel so sad haha

  • i loved this ride it was soooooo cool n i went to the japan one on march 9 2010 :) was soooo much fun

  • me to!

  • I've wanted to go to Tokyo Disney for a while, along with Disney World and Disneyland Paris, but I think going anywhere but the original Disneyland would just be a let down. I don't care if Disney World is bigger - the Tiki Room and Haunted Mansion aren't the original rides, and I go to disneyland to relive my childhood, not update it.

  • It's interesting that you should say that, because Walt Disney wanted they all the parks updated regularly. Plus, there are plenty of other attractions that you won't find in Calfornia. I'd reccomend going at least once.

  • the haunted mansion at disneyland is almost exactly the same now you douche. They get updated at the same times, with the same updates. In the original haunted mansion, featured the hatbox ghost, leota was sitting on the table rather than floating, and the attic bride was emily. And neither disneyland or disneyworld have any of that anymore.

  • @Orbittt1: Well, to be fair, Emily's heartbeat can still be heard, but aside from that, Constance has taken her place. Honestly, one good thing about Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris is that its storyline remains consistant, despite updates.

  • @TherealRNO Someone said they didn't like Disney World in orlando because they would rather go to Disneyland Anaihem because they go to disney to relive their childhood, not update it. So I said that the haunted mansion's in both parks are practically the same, except for the holiday season

  • @Orbittt1: That's true. The Mansions in both Anaheim and Orlando are updated roughly around the same time. I just wonder how Constance's storyline as a black widow can coincide with the unofficial backstory of the Mansion (e.g; that Yale Gracey hung himself after realizing how horrid his luck was, given the Mansion's curse, and how greif-stricken he was to find that either he himself had killed his love--Emily--or the jealous Madame Leota had done the dirty deed)?

  • @TherealRNO i really hate that they did that to the storyline by adding constance. Even though I dont hate her, she really did screw everything up. Btw who is Yale Gracey? I thought it was George

  • @Orbittt1: George is Constance's dead husband (as seen via the portrait where she's atop his tombstone). I just named Master Gracey--the Ghost Host--Yale (named after the Mansion's designer), since his first name was never officialized. The ride implies that Gracey is the Ghost Host & since he hanged himself, he cannot be George, whom Connie killed. Thus George's most likely the young Gracey's dad, thereby making Emily Constance's "daughter" by proxy.

  • @TherealRNO whoah, wait what? George is Constance's dead husband, but he is also emily's husband too. They screwed up the story by adding Constance. And since George is the Ghost Host, in the stretching room when he says "You can always take my way", his way is suicide. And then his dead body appears in the celling. Which would make the body in the stretching room George's

  • @Orbittt1: There's more than one George, then. Constance's George is not The Ghost Host.

  • @TherealRNO Right! I completly forgot about that hah

  • @Orbittt1: Yeah. It is said that Constance's George may be George Hightower, a possible distant relative of the Hightower who owns the Tower of Terror Hotel.

  • @TherealRNO oh. haha I obviously dont know what im talking about. But I really do think they should put Emily back in the attic, and kick constance out. She is was less scary, and you can barely even see her face

  • @NoRules103

But I thought that they had the Haunted Mansion and the Tiki Room in the original Disneyland. At least they did when I visited as a child.

  • @NoRules103

That was brilliant. I agree fot the same reasons.

  • @NoRules103 lol, I agree, I enjoy going to WDW since I grew up there :D I finaly get to go to Disneyland though and I can't wait :3 I'd love to see the original park :D

  • @NoRules103 so inspiring :) and soo true.

  • @NoRules103 sorry but i grew up going 2 DisneyWorld &that's where I go 2relive my childhood. when i went 2 DisneyLand I was disappointed that they didn't have some of the attractions I grew up with but i still had fun cuz I love Disney. &honestly orlando doesn't update that much cuz the only new thing i remember from all the times i went was the winnie the pooh ride & 1 of the shows. no matter which park you go to it's all about enjoying the magic of Disney and the happiness it brings u.

  • @NoRules103 Dude, I feel the same way, except for me, the memories come from WDW and anything else would be a letdown. Disneyland might be better than Magic Kingdom (I wouldn't know though), but it would just be such an empty experience if I couldnt go to Epcot, MGM, and Animal Kingdom.

  • @NoRules103 blah blah blah, Walt always wanted a bigger and better park. This wasn't possible in CA, soo.... he bought up a ton of swampland in FL and created Disney World. All thats there wasn't even everything that Walt wanted to build, he had even more ideas. Yeah, the originals of some rides are nice to have, but you can't compare Disneyland to Disney WORLD. Disney World has wayyyyyy more than just the "replica" of Disneyland. The same goes for Universal...

  • @NoRules103 You say that now, but if you won a free trip to Tokyo Disneyland and had the choice between that or California I think you'd go to Japan. Disney World is great by the way, I've been there and am in Disneyland right now. Each park has their own great and unique characteristics.

  • @NoRules103 Tiki Room is back in Florida, plus we have Carousel of Progress!

  • cool, i love this ride

  • its strange to see the atraction you grew up with suddenly in a different language. its kinda cool to hear it tho. sounds so familiar yet so very foreign.

  • As if Americans aren't yapping the whole time in the elevator too...in Florida and Cali.

I'm a Texan and worked at WDW btw.

  • in cali i said "LOOK HES NOT WEARING PANTS" and everyone started laughing.. i was like 6

  • @tokumeijin x)

  • @thetarvin actually there is no elevator in the Florida version because unlike in California the entire attraction in Florida is all on 1 level they just kept the expanding room for Florida's because it was a popular part iof the ride.

  • @glittapuss who did the music? It's creepier than the states. Some composer spent alot of time writing this

  • this looks like the one in Florida.

  • Warning: You have to skip ahead a lot. And even then, not that worth it.

  • I went there in 1995, when I was 5. Lol everything was in Japanese. The staff there all spoke in Japanese to me. I couldn't understand a single word at all. However it was fun! I'm now 19 and I'm going back to visit Disneyland in a month's time!

  • You ever notice the elevator is slower than the american version? I guess it's because english speakers talk so fast (give me a thumbs down if you want to, i'm just being honest)

  • @MrMystery96

The french version is even slower... x)

  • I'm not mad that everything's in English but yes it should be in Japanese so they can understand if you don't read Japanese stick to Disneyland and Disney World in the states.

  • How come everything writen in english? I mean if this is in japan everthing should be writen in Japanese, the language that people in the countery speak?

  • i speak jappanese and also most cast members there will speak english because they are trained to its part of working there

  • i never understood that, because people from america would rather go to Disneyland Clafafornia, or even bette, Walt Disney World

  • What dont you understand ?

  • i love the opening music

  • @meowspots It's called "Grim Grinning Ghosts".

  • @Aurablase10000 no duh, i'm not stupid.

  • @meowspots Ok then. Some people dont know.

  • @meowspots They were trying to be helpful, no need to get mean.

  • so cool, now i so want to go

  • Is it just me, or are some of the attractions at TDL that have American versions, kinda like mirror images? The turns in Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion and such are backwards from what I'm used to.

  • thats sad . the maid is try to get out then she is on camera struggling

  • The elevator and the tombstones are exact copies from the ones in Anaheim (1 Disney park)!

  • because Cast members at the other Disney parks are trained to speak more then one language

  • i was just a bit surprised as cast members at t

  • from what i've heard from people whove been to Tokyo Disney Resort, very few of the Cast Member speeak English

  • It's Tokyo. Why would you expect them to speak English?

  • Why would they? It's in Tokyo, JAPAN. Majority of their visitors will be Japanese or speak Japanese if they're good tourists

  • dude, the stretching room is so scary...

  • Has anyone noticed the dog headstone is chained to Mister West's gravestone?

  • To me, it looks like most of the rides in Tokyo are modeled partly after the rides in Florida. I really want to go to this Disneyland!

  • I think Oriental Land Company, the owners, just wanted the best of all the other Disney parks for TDL. They have mostly unique stuff at Tokyo DisneySea.

  • i need 2 go there someday!!! im learning how to speak japanese right now, so i might be able to understand everything being said!!! :D

  • u should be able to get a translator thing from guest services so the rides will be in english when u ride them....

  • love this but Disney world is the best

  • I'd love to one day be able to go to EVERY Disney themepark. I go to Disneyland yearly, the last time I was in Disney World was 2001, I figured I'd at least get some idea on how to speak Japanese, but it looks like the languages spoken are combined there?

  • Disney should seriously consider doing a Reboot of the Haunted Mansion film and make a creepy ass horror genre of the Haunted Mansion. They were faithful to Pirates movie, they should do some with The Haunted Mansion too.

  • I would agree. Just don't make it TOO scary. Remember, the ride is scary and funny. ;)

  • haunted mansion elavator scared the crap out of me

  • Whats the piano music at the beginning? its really nice.

  • ah good ol haunt mansion I have gone on there since I waz 5 I would close my eyes cus i waz scared c`mon i waz lil & one time I think it waz lke a idk I waz like 8 years old i waz n da streach room when the dude got hung a teenage girl screamed in my ear & I turnedaround&said ow that waz my ear & coverd it . i go in augest but wat r they saying im learning japnese but i don`t understand it could someone translate it

  • The music sounds scarier in Japan's Haunted Mansion, that at ours in Anaheim California.

  • lol at least u have one

  • Wow, i didnt know if i was watching the Haunted Mansion or the Grudge Jap version ! The Jap Ghost Host sure have a scary voice! LOL!

  • Damn, Haunted Mansion is a long ass wait there

  • geez! is the california mansion the only one where people actually scream in the stretching room? Everytime in california its a scream fest, even the diehard fans!(myself included)but not in orlando, paris, Now even tokyo! geebus were a bunch of chickens here.lol.

  • xD I know right? But that just adds to the fun.

  • I live in California too. And when ever we go on Haunted Mansion we always scream because it's so much fun. I scream in the elavator because I scream really loud...and I love screwing up my friends' ears. Hahaha!! so much fun...And then of course I always have screaming contests with people on rides. Like one time I was in the back row having a screaming contest with someone who was in the front row of Space Moutain..and..of course I won..haha! I always win!

  • ha ha lucky 4 u u live in California

  • i love haunted mansion i love to go in june 25

  • You shouldn't have film when you were just...standing in line...

  • The archtecture to the Haunted Mansion here is weird!!

  • I love Tokyo Disneyland its just that I don't understand Japanese, I have a hard time trying to find out what they're saying

  • Compare the Japanese ghost host with the original English one and you should know exactly what he says.

  • It's just a good thing 4 me the voice in this park can only speak Japanese!

  • For the other Disney Parks in diferent countries besides America, do they speak the native language there? Or is it like Disney World where they translate everything?

  • I went to Paris this summer and it seemed pretty random. Sometimes the rides would be entirely in french, english, or a mixture of both. I think the cast members can choose the audio track based on the crowd. The haunted mansion doesn't have any narrative throughout the ride though unfortunately.

  • never went here ..... nor japan itself ..... but i want to see how it feels like myself if i go there someday to see the ice-blue bride

  • Does it have that tombstone that blinks by the entrance? lol The one in Orlando scared the crap out of me twice XD

  • Nope. That only happens in Orlando.

  • ive never been on the ride....are you on foot or is it an actual ride??

  • it's a ride, you get to ride doombuggies :P it's really cool

  • so what's the story of the haunted mansion in tokyo? it's kinda weird that this haunted mansion is located in fantasyland...still a very cool ride, one of my favs! :P

  • If you read Haunted Mansion:from the magic kingdom to the movies, ghost stories have a part in fantasy and myths, so the haunted mansion now resides in fantasyland. That should cover it.

  • ok thanks...so the story in japan is no different than the ones in the US? cuz i know paris has a different story...thnx for explaining though ;)

  • Your welcome. =)

  • The story is just like the American ones, but just some minor alterations here and there. THAT should cover it! =)

  • LoL ok, thanks for taking the time to reply and explain ;)

  • Again, your welcome. ;)

  • It was kinda creepy if you look at the mirror. I miss Japan cuz I used to live in Atsugi and now we are in Las Vegas. When I grow up I going to go to Japan again!

  • I'm overexcited. I'm going to this place tommorrow!!!

  • Some how it's less scary when you don't under stand the language, lol.
