... I miss these two guys. They were as much a part of the NBA's golden age as any of the players were.

I've been a Laker fan a long time, and any true Laker fan respected what Most and the Celtics brought to the NBA. Those Lakers/Celtics series in the '80s meant the most to me because of how great the Celtics were.

Two men, two great announcers, two perfect voices for their respective cities. Johnny's voice was harsh and gravely. Chick's was smooth and stylish. Perfect contrast, but but they were both incredible in their own way.

It's amazing that in the NBA history of 61 or 62 seasons, Two teams have won half of the NBA Championships. 17 for the Celtics,14 for the Lakers. 31 of the 62. Unreal. No other pro sport comes close. RIP, Johnny and Chick.
