Kerry King is from Downey. I believe he went to Downey High. Dave Mustaine used to hang out at Kerry's house in Downey when Kerry was in Megadeth and teach him how to play guitar.

I think James Hetfield was born in Downey as well.

I've been to their store a few times. I only recently found out that they were the Sadistic Intent guys. About a year ago I was there and talked with one of the guys about Possessed and SI but he never mentioned anything about being in the band. Cool guys and cool store.
