Some kid told me the album 'Ram it Down' sucked. Never listened to it, I came here. After this song is done, im going to go kick thats kid's knee caps thru his ears.
Definitely one of my favourite songs of all time...so much energy...so much madness, this song is absolutely amazing!!! ...thank you Priest \m/ -_- \m/
Whenever I hear this song, I think of Judas Priest, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Steve Vai, Dragonforce, and every past member of all the bands riding dragons and going on a complete rampage through this town that is apparently obsessed with Justin Beiber (shudder) and Lady Gaga (shudder). Randy Rhoads and Ronnie James Dio even burst out of the underworld and join in on leveling the city.
Listening to this song made me wanna climb the highest building, strap some C4 around my body, jump off doing a screaming elbow drop onto a bus full of terrorists!!
My cousin Austin said as much as he loves JP, this album is all the proof you need that Rob Halford is gay. I'm not sure if I'm pissed at him or not. lol
@DONTCKLICKMYNAME know your role and shut your fucking mouth racial bitch ,so what if he is different,he isn't one of the greatest metal vocals ,isn't he?YES HE IS...
@BieberPwnzMetal watch it before rob comes home to you and turn you into a creaming little girl. with a voice like his, i bet his cock is big enough to slit open your stomach from within
@MeTaLhEaD78943 I was born in '91 - It doesn't matter what time you are born in, mate. The music lives on in us here in the present times. We have an endless supply of all the awesome bands we need here on youtube. Just stay metal and keep listening to great bands\m/ horns up to you
I remember hearing this song during the 4th quarter of a football game. I was playing left guard and was tired beyond belief trying to hold back this fat beast of a player in front of me.
Suddenly, my buddy near the crowd cranked this song out on his radio. Then this feeling out of nowhere came out of me with the sudden burst of energy to smash faces!
Broke my left hand and fractured my right collar bone. But fuck was it worth it! Sent the fat fucker to the ground the whole game! >:D
In the Hall of Metal Gods, there are places reserved for a divine few, one has already claimed his place next to their thrones. Ronny James Dio be thy name. He awaits his comrades in Metal; Alice Cooper, the Beast Tamer, Ozzy Osbourne, the Keeper, Bruce Dickinson, the Grave Digger, and Rob Halford, the Metallurgist. Along with their bands of troubadours they will bring the age of Valhalla to us through the might and purity of their Metal. Amen.
I agree...amazing lead guitar work on this record...Ive learned a bunch of lead guitar from eddie, rhoads to vai yet I always found the lead guitar on this album hard to replicate...so much energy to the lead guitar...the boys were flyin on this one.
i wish priest played this live, it's the best guitar solo of all time, true masterpiece! oh wait K.K. is not in Priest anymore. Fuck! why bother than, i guess it's just a dream. Ram it Down!!!
Priest is the first metal band...period! Sabbath was more progressive/dark rock. Judas Priest was all metal all the time. @tncl85 I agree with most of what you say but I still stand by my statement that Nazareth was as influential at the time as Black Sabbath. Over the years Sabbath has been better known but that is mostly because of all the big name vocalists like Ozzy, Ian Gillian, RJD that have been in there. Nazareth is my favorite then Wasp, then Judas Priest although Judas Priest is more technically skilled than Wasp I still prefer Wasp but I don't think third place in my books is too shabby.
@Gcrash95 Black Sabbath isn't the only one but obviously they are one of the main ones. Nazareth with the songs: Hard living (1972), Witchdoctor Woman (71), Sold My Soul (73), Shapes Of Things (74), Ballad Of Hollis Brown (73), Spinning Top (72), Miss Missery (74), Beggars Day (74). And of course you have to include the bands "Lucifer's Friend", Atomic Rooster, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple. My favorite band of all time is Nazareth but Judas Priest is third and I love every band I mentioned on here.
@jaagup117 Definitely man. I agree with you completely. But they were part of the NWOBHM. Whereas I was focusing on the first wave of heavy metal. Nazareth aren't considered part of the first wave because they are from Scotland not England. But yes Iron Maiden was definitely in my opinion the most influential of the NWOBHM. I love Iron Maiden as well.
Absolutely sick guitar solo's in this song the whole song is done to perfection but that is to be expected from Priest and Rob Halford what more be said? Words can't sum up the immensity of this band they trully are a force of nature.
