  • 2 strings, like a boss.

  • @01Gasuku They say the violin and the Chinese violin have no difference. So if you play the normal violin you can also play the Chinese one, too.

  • beautiful

  • So many beautiful instruments in many other countries... ^^

  • thats intense; i want to learn to play this :3

  • I hired this guy to play this while i ran through the bamboo forest killing assassins...

  • 0:25 - 0:28 If this was supposed to be an actual take, somebody just got their ass fired! XD

  • kung fu hustle springs to mind.

  • what is the song called he is playing?

  • whoohoo!

  • Awesome! What a great instrument!

  • i wanna learn how to play a chinese violin!i play a normal violin but that looks harder.that song is so beutiful...

  • I don't know. I think the bowing of this instrument looks easier. With normal violin you have to hold the bow at such a wierd angle. Both are awseom instruments.

If your looking for a challenge on the violin, try Paganini! Trust me, it will keep you busy for some time to come.

  • the erhu only has two strings, as for the bow, you use both sides of the horse hair, not just one because the bow is between the 2 strings. so you have to alternate between the two strings

  • Great feature of bowed instruments is that string hasn't to pressed down the fingerboard - if you just put a fingertip on string and bow it it will still sound. Just try to play your violin in this way. So erhu is not so hard as it appears to be.

  • @01Gasuku I don't play violin, only guitar. My brother bought me an erhu in san francisco (I think it was about $250, so not very much). Generally I had problems with getting right sound at first, but left hand position is really easy - somehow natural. I tried violin and it was really hard for me to hold it properly. Give it a try, after 2 weeks I could play D scale quite in tune, only with guitar background, You already know how to get right bowing sound ;)

  • @01Gasuku One more thing - after buying erhu, if won't find a teacher (almost impossible in my country), buy this course: learnerhu . com

It will save You lot of effort.

    Good luck :)
