Sometimes the lighter won't light inside the can. How do I fix this?

@BluLetters You don't. That's just the way it is sometimes. Keep clicking and it'll light eventually. It's also possible that there's too much hair spray (or whatever flammable stuff) in the can. A flame needs oxygen too, so if you spray too much, it won't work.

if you are concerned with the monster can exploding rap it in duck tape, or electrical tape

@blowme899 F.Y.I. It's duct tape. For taping ducting. Although there is a brand called Duck Tape that makes duct tape ironically enough. How odd, yes?

I did this and it was awesome! One thing I'm concerned about though. I'm a little scare the Monster can might explode. Is there a chance of this happening? If so can you please tell me. I find the cardboard version safer and it shoots the ping-pong ball about the same distance as this one. This one makes a larger flame than the cardboard one, just saying.

There's actually less chance of the Monster can exploring than with the cardboard tube version. Basically it's a matter of surface tension and elasticity in the container itself, vs explosive force when you ignite the acceleration. In short, the can is tougher than a cardboard tube.

I find the cardboard safer because if it exploded, the cardboard remains couldn't hurt you; they are not sharp. Metal on the other hand, I find more dangerous because sharp metal from the can could hurt me if it exploded. Also, on my metal one where the lighter goes, there is a little extra space. Could the fire come out the wrong end?

OK, so you're scared of a metal can. Don't know what to tell you about that man. But yes, the fire will come out the back end of the can, so use a long-reach lighter to avoid the blow back. It burns fast enough that it just startles you, and maybe burns off some knuckle hair, but it's not going to cause any real harm.
