  • I think the voice he has is really good at the last part of the song.

  • FACE-MELTING SOLO

  • "Where do we go now?" Sounds a little like Bowie there.

  • Don't know about you, but I really liked the second part!

  • Fuck this shit, I need to go listen to real music now!

    Appetite For Destruction - 1987 !!!!

  • I love this rendtion , I can't bring myself to not like his voice.. although it ain't a clear vocal but he is still Axl.. and he ROCKSSSS!!

  • some of this is off the live era album... it switches to a different recording at 3:10 . But pre- 3:10 is deffo live era

  • rare version

  • I just don't get it. when my family was gone, this was the only thing I would listen to

  • at the 3:09 is a new Guns n' Roses(99') playing.

Axl's voice throughout the song it's at 99.

    anyway Axl's Rock!

  • Comment removed

  • I like Axl voice at 3:46 :)

  • you can hear the solo after 3:06 matches the same way Finck adapted it in the 2001 shows.

  • 4:04 EPIC Axl Scream!!!

  • Does anyone know is there a full version of the "new" GNR re-recorded Sweet Child or where i can get it??

  • Terrible fourth solo......Slash did it so much better!!

  • kiss ass version of song

  • SUX ASS!!!!!!

  • LOL at the uploader writing (Axl struggles to sing)...the part where he is supposedly "struggling" is a live recording from 1992...moron hahah

  • @TuukkaTime

    Shut up.

The vocal is re-recorded throughout the song. Even on the "live" part from 1992.

  • @fecoboco No. The first part is all from 1992. The second part (the best part) is NuGNR.

  • @volcano60

Sorry dude, but you are wrong. A new vocal was recorded in '99 and overdubbed on the live recording. Axl's '99 voice is clearly recognizable.

Around half of the songs on "Live Era" had overdubbed vocals as well.

  • @TuukkaTime This is the live era version until the fast part in the solo..in that part the '99 line-up enters..And Axl re-recorded vocals on the whole song

  • This Re-Recorded SCOM is amazing.

  • 0:17 figaro.. figaro .. lol, 4me Guns N´ Roses is the best band of all times long life to Axl

  • THis is the same version they have on the Live Era CD.

  • lol "fegro fegro." Axl is awsome GN'R Forever!!! SCO'M

  • @youngboxer08

You really retarded, do your homework before posting dumb ass comments it plays in the end credits and the female (Sheryl Crow) is on the sound track.

Axl's voice sounds awesome here alot of rasp

  • It plays during the end credits. It wasn't on the CD soundtrack, but it's in the movie. So is the "female version," but that's during the movie, not the credits.

  • Happy New Year everyone!

  • From what i remember reading this is the OLD guns n roses live (maybe '93) THEN at 3.09 it is newly recorded studio effort with Robin Finck taking most the lead?

and it IS on Big Daddy

  • Yeh, i read something like this somewhere, someone stated that the first half was live era and the 2nd NewGnR or something like that.

  • haha shut up you fuckin melon i am shaggin your dead nan yanky

stop bombin your own aswell you stupid fat fuckers get on a diet

  • Read the fucking description, SON OF A BITCH. Yes, it IS on the movie and you can hear it at the final credits.

  • oi dickhead it is from big daddy you dumb shit

  • maybe something happened in uyi tour becase since then axl´s voice is not the same ¿¿¿ why now doesn´t he sings like 90´s????

  • The simple truth is he still can do that style of singing, take a look at any number of songs from the current tour.

Anyway yeah it changes at around 3:08 and I think Axl actually does a pretty good job here, esp when considering how much spark he lost in 2001-2002.

  • @sephiroth34567890 it is funny. He didn't suck in 2001 and didn't suck in 2002 he just wasn't as strong. People don't get how easy it is to lose strength in the vocals. I have a download of Axl in 2000 with Gilby Clarke and he sounds pitch perfect. Then all of a sudden in 2001 he isn't as good.

  • If you wanna listen to crap try $la$h and Fergie's version of Paradise City lol

  • lol i know right? i luv slash but that version is horrible :P

  • sorry people.... i was saying that the new paradise city rap version sucks when i posted the comment ,,...

"lol i know right? i luv slash but that version is horrible :P"

  • axl what have you done ??

  • " Axl struggles to sing"

    I LOL'd at that.

  • Axl does not struggle to sing I reckon he sounds awesome in this so raw,

  • yeah, the first part of the solo is definetly Slash's,it's the Live-Era version but it changes in 3:08,when the wah pedal is turned on on the solo...by the way I think the solo was kinda messed up...he played it with a different guitar or sth

  • definitly slash doing first part of solo it has his flair to it. its a tone that is unmistakably his. Second solo is not him i am 100% sure of it.. the sound doesnt have the gibson tone tht his les paul normally gives off plus it sounds like a completly different amp setting

  • For everyone still wondering: The first part of this song is a live recording of Old GN'R from Paris '92. The song morphs into the '99 re-recorded version at 3:08. The lineup for the last part of the song is Axl Rose, Robin Finck, Tommy Stinson, Paul Tobias, Dizzy Reed and Josh Freese.

  • the first part is "almost" live. the vocal is obviously re-recorded there too.

  • @fecoboco the "live" part do not have re-recorded vocals, neither do live era! stop spreading false information, dumbass!

  • @henfjel

sorry but I really can't help someone with no sensibility to recognize Axl's '99 voice in many Live Era songs...

just listen to Live Era versions of "Yesterdays" (original vocal) and "SCO'M" (re-recorded vocal), for instance. if you can't notice the difference and still want to come here and call me lier and dumbass, I can only tell you to go fuck yourself and to stop wasting my time.

  • @fecoboco I don't think you're a lier or a liar for that matter either.

  • @henfjel

Live era DOES have re-recorded vocals, guitars and drums. And some rel bad editing (estranged and paradise) But it still fucking rocks.

Estranged is a mix of Tokio '92 and studio re-recording of the vocals. After Dizzys Solo it changes.

  • i wouldve done the same thing xD

  • I think his voice here is not from the Live Era album.

  • the first part of the solo is slash, i'm sure, don't you hear it too?

  • Robin Finck's versions is in my opinion eqaull as Slash's if you ask me

  • awesome!

  • Axls voice is still strong.

Such bias. Enjoy both Slash and Axl.

  • what a voice!!

    Axl rocks really men

  • i like this solo (robin's) better

  • The only thing this has in common with the live era version is the first 30 seconds. The crowd noise and Slash's guitar. Everything else is re recorded, The solo is different, and the drumming and Axl's voice are quite a bit different.

  • Axl's voice on here sounds more like his voice now than in the early 90's. It's got that "Strained Rasp" rather than "Scratchy High" that he used to have. Like for example, listen to any live videos of him singing SCOM back in the 90's, and then listen to his 2006 live versions. I'm sure he used the old-gnr live music at the beginning and new-gnr at the solo onwards. But I think all the vocals are re-recorded, simply because his voice sounds like it does in 06.

  • I think Axl sound so raw hear, its awesome, I wanna hear more rerecorded stuff.

  • Best Band In The World = Guns N' Roses

  • they were.... well actually they still are just axl doesnt realize they could be the best band in history by reuniting

  • fail

  • why? moron i was saying i hate the new rock-rap version of paradise city not this song

  • ohh right man , i apologise. i totally agree with ya (Y)

  • @GnRKiD2k7 ha its ok man... sorry if a offended you with that "moron" comment

  • ha, its all good

  • jajaja gnr amateurs!!!!!

  • la mejor banda

  • the solo made me start playin guitar so if you say crap about my solo your goin to die,, just come to sylacauga and ill kill you,,,, Get In The Ring.........

  • youre a joke

  • ^ ^ What do we care ? :D

  • haz que slash comente aqui y te ceo

  • LOL I just talked to Slash and he said he never heard of you.

  • im looking for the 1999 studio version.

    somebody can help

    thanks

  • seems to be half live and half new one.

    i noticed just now

  • Well this is the version in the Live era version. But they redid the Wah part and the where do we go now because song in the Live Era album is over 7 minutes long.

  • Lol, man it's not the version from live era... Intro is from era and the part when Axl sings is re-recorded.

  • Not really. Live era has same singing. I got the album

  • Yes, I've got it too but I found that information in Polish official webside of GnR, so sorry but I belive them :D

  • its not all the sung part thats rerecorded. it changes to the rerecord half way(ish) through the solo, so the only rerecorded vocals part is the where do we go now section

  • Buen tema de los Guns And Roses! =)

  • Still Awesome

  • rock is dead long live guns n roses

  • the solo was edited for sure. until 3:08 it's slash in live show and after that it's robin finck. you can hear the the reverb in the live show and then the studio qulaity.

  • Yeah I noticed that too. There's hardly anybody that can replace Slash. I fucking love your videos too dude ;)

  • in part's it sounds like live version of old gnr

  • God anyone hear the difference at the 3:10 sudden change in the song where it morphs into new guns playing. If you do please clcik thumbs up some nucklehead keeps claiming that this video is all old guns playing that even the wha pedal solo is done by slash not by Robin.. God some people can be so ignorant.

  • @slayersmp It's already been made clear that it's the new GNR. You ever kinda wonder why it goes from a live recording to a studio recording all the sudden? According to Axl and other members of the band they re-recorded Appetite for Destruction with the new band. This is the only bit released from it

  • EU tenho ela baxei no ares

  • CAra nao consigo achar essa musica,se possivel me envie....

  • sad that Axl is still calling his band

"Guns N Roses" for those who are fans. they died in 94.

  • hmm I want to say that clearly the original members were better players. These new guns guys are not doing their best job to play in the new guns. i don't think they are capable of playing old guns songs. Somebody other than them should have been in the new guns.

  • Clearly better players?I think its easy to point out wrong, everything the original band can do,they can do plus some.Back at the 02 line up,bh can do everything slash does plus TONS,brains better than sorum or adler.Your just an old gnr fan boi,use your ears not your bull shit bias

  • I only used my ears. Trust me. I'm not being prejudice about the new members. Rather I'm being honest. If the new players were as good as the old one why would I be upset? The truth is they are just not. What Steven Slash Duff Izzy did in Guns N' Roses was EPIC. There were just simply better players.

buckethead is ashredder who fits more into industrial rock. Robin is just not a good player as you can hear he ruins the solo which could have been beatiful if he played right instead he shredds

  • damn axel lost it

  • Shitty Solo Much

  • Robin is the worst shredder ever. Slash doesn't shred. Slash values every single note

  • Compare this sweet child o mine to original sweet child o mine. You will see the differance.

  • This is a great example of old guns VS new guns. First half is old guns the other half is New guns. The difference of sound is huge, the first half is way better, better drummer guitarists, bassist. The old guns had what it took to play real rock and roll and new guns is just a poor cover band,.

  • It's really not that different. They're all playing the same notes, And the first half axls voice isn't as good at the second part, You're clearly only fans of the old guns.

And theres nothing wrong with what, No need to be ashamed of it...(Just putting that out there just in case you decide to get angry at me)

    I mean peace! Nothing offensive.

    Apologies.

  • they are not playing the same notes to be precise dear. The solo Robin did is way different than slash's. And More, Matt's drumming is different than the new drummer, as well as the bassist. AND fist half of axl voice is not from old days, in this song Axl REDID the song the entire vocal on it you know. JUST BECAUSE YOU DON"T SEE THE DIFFERENTS DOESN"T MEAN IT IS NOT DIFFERENT.

  • I meant it in a way that it's not unrecognizable. You can easily tell what they're trying to do. Just saying it's not that extraordinarily different. And that I can kind of sense some bias in you here.

  • 4?04 fukkin awesome..

but i`ll always prefer the old band, even knowing that they`re never going to play together again...

i hope izzy and steven tour with axl in O9

  • i wish he could sing like this now, but he can still sing great

  • he sins way better now than he did here

  • I hope so O_O

  • axl/finck/tobias/reed/stinson/freese/howerdel played this new version

  • WTF! figaro?

  • When does it morph into new GNR?

  • paul tobias is a homo.

  • another nonsense comment from a nonsense guy.

Look at Chinese Democracy's credits... this guy Paul Tobias co-wrote with Axl some of the best songs ever. Fuckooo

  • guess who'll laugh last ;)

  • you are clearly a narrow minded idiot

  • Paul tobias is the best!! we love u man!!

  • For those who are extremely confused, the first half of this track is a live version preformed by the old Guns N Roses at a 1992 show in Paris. The other half is a re-recorded version preformed in 1998 by the new Guns N Roses. The full version of the live half appeared on the album "Live Era" in 1999. The full version of the new half is set to appear on a re-recorded version of "Appetite" sometime in the future. By the way, I have no idea what that Figaro thing in the beginning is.

  • erm.... totally wrong, the rerecorded version is never coming out, apart from that youre pretty much spot on... however axl had vocals and instrument parts dubbed over in 1999 before live era was released so in all actually every piece of vocal is axl in 1999 although the rercorded guitaring on live era was slash and.... izzy or gibly im not sure which. so the intstruments were half slash and half robin and fortus

  • Fortus wasn't in the band until 2002...

  • figaro!figaro!figaro!

  • Oh my god...unbelievable!

the song has been totally raped! what should i say? half of it is played by the original band, with Axl's voice overdubbed as a matter of fact. all of a sudden, it turns out to be played by the "new" GNR! Robin Finck screws Slash's solo on the best part! so bad what Axl's done to this band.

  • what the fuck is the figaro thing?

  • it now says no longer available... whats going on is anyone else having this problem..

  • Nope, working fine 'n' rockin' out!

  • this is really good I like it, who is playing the instruments here??

  • it sounds better in the second half because its the new band in the studio, the first half is the original band live apparently.

  • as i just stated its not really live, live era was dubbed over in the studio by axl and slash ;)

  • HA god thats funny

  • wtf with the figaro at the start

  • they didn't intend on releasing of these. These were just warmups to put the new band in an AFD state of mind for CD recording sessions.

  • True, but if you wait long enough on the Big Daddy credits, this song comes up. Plus i can rock more to this version

  • Axl's voice used to be better.

But for New GNR this is a pretty good song.

And you can't compare this to the old GNR: I mean they got rid of fills and the solo just doesn't sound right.

And you can hear its the same singer, but it doesn't feel like its Axl of old GNR. ANd if it wasn't for him you would swear it was a bad cover.

Not that I'm saying this is all that great.

  • 4:04 is the best growl ever.

  • axls vioce sounds the best in this

  • i actually thought this was really good.

  • Yeah, same!

  • This shit is shit compared to the original. As is the new band.

  • Should have warmed up his voice before recording it, I mean he sounded great near the end.

  • They rushed it

    and it sounds horrible

  • I think his voice sounds like any live concert version even back in 87 to 91 era, just watch the tokyo videos it really isn't that bad. Axl still has it as I witnessed it first hand at the vegas joint shows and he was brilliant.

  • i dont understand re-recording this for the movie. they didn't change anything and it just sounds worse!!!

  • fucking terrible

  • Robin finck should never have been allowed to re-record Slash's solo.

  • its like writing another koran . . . just shouldnt and wouldnt happen - slash owned that solo .

  • First half of the song is actually a live recording from the early 90s, recorded in Paris I believe. The Song fades into the re-recorded one at 3:08.

  • What's up with the thumbs down? I can believe him. The audio changes colors there.

  • The guitar solos, good but only Slash can trulydo it.

  • He'll never get back to that great Appetite/Ullusion voice but hey at least he sings 10 times better than THIS now. Kinda glad he didn't release the new cd back in 2000-2002 because his voice totally blowed, at least NOW it'll sound cool.

  • This is a movie soundtrack? Sounds live to me.

  • yes, it's axl.

his voice was weird 'cause it had already gone and he tried to make it sound like at 1991 by forcing it.

but it's not so weird when he sings higher like at the end.
