i think when she asks him 'mata saboten' its the verb saboru 'to skip work/school etc' to not do something or go somewhere your supposed to. you put 'drop in'

she also says it colloquially if it were english english from my childhood you'd say

'are you wagging it again' also we used 'skiving' but i doubt that would work for most viewers.

maybe playing hookey is the american english version?

'are you playing hookey from work again?'

would be ok
