  • "I'm a sex fuhrer baby, I'm a love dictator" - genius.

  • oh hell yeah remember thisd gem well.....!!!!!

  • HEADBANGERS BALL !! Zodiac Mindwarp And The Love Reaction ... THE BEST ! I still got you on fucking VINYL BABY !

  • Live at the Ritz, Stockholm 87.....only a couple of hundred people had the chance that evening....it was like a bullet between your eyes.

  • I like it jaki.........more than quiet like it actually x

  • Alice Cooper played this video when he was a guest programmer on Rage a few weeks back, love it!

  • there are 23 people that u should lock up ur kids and hide them away from. 23 dislikes? who are these freaks of nature?

  • they need a little more rythm and power to be one of the bests

  • this band should have been HUGE!!!!!

  • i think i just had a religious experience.

  • I had no idea that the song had a video

  • @WMGsuck The video was directed by Ade Edmonson

  • ".... Your lipstick flickers down my lightning rod...." possibly my favourite line from a song EVER! XD

  • stil love it 20 years on yeehaa

  • awesome

  • Haa, Nikki Six you are just a lousy copy who stole style from Zodiac.

  • I got a tattoo done on Friday and Prime Mover was one of the songs on the guy's playlist. I just had to listen to it again today! Been a loong time since I last heard it, I got the album not long after it came out and practically wore out the tape - that's how long ago it was - it's great biking music. Saw the band play at Stormin' the Castle rally in the 90's, then boyfriend was awestruck at Zod! Loved you guys, shame you didn't get further.

  • I love all these loving comments!! I had no idea we would still be remembered all these years later!!! And beerjitsu, we thought we were huge!!! LOL As far as I know, we original members are all still living, some more than others...I haven't seen Mark (Zod) in many years, but still get a Christmas card. We had so much fun making these nutty videos !! The record company milked us on the TBM vid....Dancers??? Ha Ha Thanks for the love and KEEP ON ROCKIN !!! Steve L. (AKA Slam Thunderhide)

  • @newmannsteve If this is indeed THE Slam Thunderhide (hey, this IS the internet, can't be too careful)...then I bend knee and pay homage where homage is due. You guys were, and are, in-freaking-credible...this album was one of the best things that ever happened to my knuckle-headed 19 year old self.

  • @beerjitsu , It is indeed THE Slam Thunderhide...I hadn't thought of myself as THE anything in a very long time !! LMAO !! Thanks for paying homage. I truly thought we were bound for superstardom an the strength of the Beat Messiah LP, but alas, it wasn't to be. We sold well in Europe and were huge there for quite some time , but never could break here in the states. Musta been those crazy videos...LOL...Sure was a blast trying though !! ;)

  • gotta love a band who've had members called: Boom-boom Kaboomski, and, Slam Thunderhide. Wicked!

  • This is an important moment in history, here. This is when music video's peaked. Nothing before or since has exceeded this.

  • Living after midnight, rocking to the dawn...

  • @Madmogs1 same riff int it? i justy had the same thought. also, i prefer high priest of love anyway

  • I used to travel the country watching this lot. They were brilliant. How they never became huge i don`t know. This really takes me back, I was about 19 then...

  • I'm your hot dog daddy up on your knees!

  • i havent seen this video in over 20 yrs thanks for posting it not sure why i thought to look it up lol

  • Play SONISPHERE Please !

  • Sort of thing to play when you want the mother-in-law to leave.

  • Fucking cool

  • Totally brill, I just love this band. Can anyone tell me please are the band still going ? Id love to see them live. Don't Message me you have seen them, you will just make me jelousssssssss...

  • Had this album on repeat on my walkman at work back in the day; people must've thought I was nuts when this track was playing ;)

  • gatecrashing orphanages lol. classic

  • I bought the 12" single of this on "Blood Red Vinyl" in 1987. I think it's a great song, but this is a really stupid video.

  • abso..f*/x%in'...lutley

  • This has brought back some fab memories. Also made me realise that the darkness were just charlatans.....

  • For some reason this reminds me of The Darkness - same style of chancer rock this is more pornographic!

  • So naif :)

  • This band sucked

  • Under rated for some of the best sleaze ever made

  • cock rock at its best

  • Great song... but they seem very grubby!

I mean literally, like unwashed. It's hilarious!!

  • today was the first time i heard of this band AND ON A F-ING VINYL!!!!! good shit!!! LIKE!!!!!!!!

  • This track got used recently in the Sarah Silverman show for a baby-robot's gun-toting revenge on some FBI agents...it worked so well.

  • Fun stuff - but still lower shelf rock.

  • @MissEgasMoniz Ha ha ha! I thought top shelf rock - out of reach of kiddies!

  • This video was on top of the pops in the 80's. Top stuff great track up loud.

  • where can i get a zodiac mindwarp t-shirt?!

  • Eine reich, eine volk, eine Zodiac!

  • saw this band last week, OMG the lead singer was perving on me and i'm only 15 XP

  • Zode and the lads are still rockin'! Google 'em for tour dates.

  • so much awesome. hahahahaha

  • I heard Ade Edmonson directed the video, it's certainly got all the hallmarks of anarchic comedy violence.

  • Their name popped into my head because my elder brother had a cassette (yes kids a cassette) of Tattooed Beat Messiah in his collection over 20 years ago. haha so this is what they looked like!

If I said they remind me of Velvet Revolver would everyone hate me?

  • Quality....brings back memories. Cock Rock at its best. *grins*

  • NOW THAT IS MUSIC

  • Hahaha! I don't remember that the singer was wearing an Allgemeine SS cap!

  • There are no words to describe how much Iove this.

  • lol, takes me back. They don't make em like that any more, thank god.

  • He looks like a dirty, homeless version of Kip Winger.

  • WHAT A FUCKIN TWAT..............

  • Hahaha dressed to puke.

  • BEST OPENING LINE OF A SONG EVER!

  • saw them live and DAMN where they nasty! KIN LUV EM!

  • Effing classic.

  • new album from Zodiac Mindwarp "We Are Volsung" check it out

  • hahahahah brilliant

  • If they had a decent producer, this shit would rock.

sounds like it was mastered on a 4-track tape deck

  • Have this song on tape..............fucking brilliant

  • The Darkness must have fapped to this band so much.

  • I bought the 12'" single of this on "Blood Red Vinyl" in like 1987. I just ran across it and gave it spin. It was so killer that I had to look them up. I'm glad to hear that they're still rockin'

  • Tattooed Beat Messiah is absolutely one of the greatest albums most people have never heard of. Some of the most brilliantly warped lyrics I have ever heard.

Sex, sleaze, nasty guitars, leather and kaiser helmets. If you don't love that then you don't love metal.

This goddamn band shoulda been HUGE!

  • @beerjitsu I've seen them live on a monday evening 5 december 1994 in a theater (!!!) in Maastricht., Holland. Small audience. I was standing in front of the stage, Zodiac And Cobalt were less than 2 meters in front of me. Zodiac during one song had his hand in his trousers playing with his dick :D Bought the "One More Knife" CD and a T-shirt that night. Great :) Zodiac is cool!

  • @beerjitsu Innit ! how did the world manage to avoid the band who pre-empted the whole nirvana thrash/grebo/grunge thing ? Zod God was having it !

  • @beerjitsu AGREEEEEEE !!!

  • @beerjitsu

I soo agree, every time I play one of their records, it"s like they invented ROCK and ROLL .

  • fuck me takes me back to my costa monger days

  • I love how fire starts flaming behind him. Sexy as hell.

  • i bought this VHS with a lot of random heavy videos on and i liked this video so i bought their LP.

    i hope i'll like it.

  • hell fucking yeah......bitch

  • Fucken Class !

  • Wowie...thisis in such lame taste,it ain't even funny 2:59

  • 1987 actually, Serpentbrew...

As for now, they just have signed a worldwide contract with SPV records and are to tour their current album 'We Are Volsung', commencing March 2011

  • Wow, the lead singer has some moves....freak.

  • This was a great song and the video was so over the top that you couldn't take it seriously. Which is what i think they were going for. In the over played mainstream videos this one stuck out and we thought it was hilarious. It was 1983. You have no idea. Unless you actually remember the heyday of MTV and thinking, If I have to see "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" one more time....I'm done. Whover coined the phrase "heavy rotation" shood be shot.

  • I wonder what fast food joint, hardware store, or scrap yard these guys are working in now.

  • @jhzab666 check the related videos and you'll find newly recorded live-videos so i guess they still play together.

  • Love the T.Rex references. Brilliant

  • Is it just me, or did those girls look a whole lot sexier before their 'transformation'?

  • @geoff2204 I gotta agree with You on that !

  • "im a hot dog daddy so open your knees"....

  • when those drums kick in again thats dope..

  • that takes me back a bit!!!

  • What a shamefull thing....it is like a alice cooper wannabee

  • Comment removed

  • Still makes me n the mrs smile our daughter says were mad, rock on

  • This video represents every thing thats great in life !!

  • Thanks a billion for putting this up, been looking for it!

  • "The Darkness" before the darkness..still love track..classic!

  • I remember watching this as a kid on H.Ball, i forgot how over the top it was....good stuff

  • You forgot to add "and the Love Reaction" to the band name :p

  • Luv the band Still years later down the track from this single and the album!

  • rofl forgot how bad they really were, rofl still chooooooooooooon

  • Fucken Outrages

  • so cool! i had this on vinyl 7" when i was 12, won it at a disco!!!!!! fuck yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • A fucking classic

  • Ade Edmundson directed a masterpiece here - strange how he didn't direct other rock videos!! I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong about that....

  • @MiniLemmy he did Fiesta (1988) by The Pogues, Prime Mover (1987) by Zodiac Mindwarp, Like The Weather (1988) by 10,000 Maniacs, Please Help The Cause Against Loneliness (1988) by Sandie Shaw, and Hourglass by Squeeze (1987).

  • Attention! Attention! Calling the 1980's. Calling the 1980's. Specifically Zodiac Mindwarp. There's this wanker named Russell Brand that has stolen your identity. We need you to jump in your time machine. Travel 23 years in the future. Kill this fool, and recover your stolen identity. Trust us you'll bw doing us and the world a big favor.

  • @twi1992

Take a chill-pill, Russell Brand is actually quite funny. And if you're having a go at people dragging this image kicking and screaming into 2010, start with Lemmy first, lol.

  • Wow. The Darkness studied this video a little too much.

  • Pure eighties GOLD!

  • We need Zodiac Mindwarp and Jim Steinman to go into the studio YESTERDAY.

  • Love the music, always have, but this is the first time I've ever seen the video. Could he find any more cliches to cram in?

Don't care - still adore it!

  • haha, i actually have a promo copy of this video from the label wtf back, lol

  • 1st seen it when I was about 5.

Im now 30 its even awsomer

  • I still have the album, yes record, in my basement which I bought when it first came out. Those were the times, sniff, sniff...

  • alles heil der sexen fuhrer!!

  • I can see where Rob Zombie may have been influenced by the ZodWarp

  • @MrNumanoid I'm not the only one then!

  • @MrNumanoid

I can see where Rob Zombie needs to take lessons from the MASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rob Zombie loved this so much he became Zodiac. Corny video, but the songs they wrote really rocked. Underrated.

  • Nothing is impossible!

  • Needs the Wolfchild Speech.

  • Original :X

  • Directed by Ade Edmondson, fact fans.

Well let's be honest, directed by Vyvyan.

  • Isn't this the same song as Hawkwind's "Urban Guerilla"

  • Best Hard Rock Band Ever!

  • Someone needs to upload Valsalver's Overture.

  • Very 80s!!! Nice!

  • Saw them at the State Theater in the motor-city Detroit the home of rock and roll. Guns n' Roses headlining the bill with Udo and Zodiac Mindwarp a triple bill and I had the good luck of being front row. Good times good tunes oh yeah!

  • Wow man, you're so lucky to be able to see that show!! Those were THE times!

  • Begins like Livin After Midnight from Judas Priest :)) Hell no...Just kidding. This band was damn good and this song really kicks ass!

  • I love these guys thank for posting this

  • Zodiac has his own trance group called Zodiac Youth

Zodiac Youth are Martin Glover (known as Youth) and Mark Manning (under the moniker Zodiac Mindwarp), a psychedelic trance project from the UK.

To be honest their stuff is really good. Like PWEI they're sorely lost!

  • Love this!

  • Well I love T.V. & I love T.Rex.....great live at Reading Festival back in '86ish? P-r-i-m-e movers!

  • Classic!

Didn't Adrian Edmondson (Hr=e of Young Ones/Bottom fame) direct this?

  • yes

  • 1 of THE best songs of the 80s!

And this wasnt Metal, it was GREEBO Rock!

The costuming had shades of A Clockwork Orange with Billy Boy and his Droogs, dressed as nazis, with sunglasses and greasy long hair.

    Rocks man!

Yeah Jock rock has got the COCK!

  • Classic!!!!!

  • Fine classic song! A bit "Judas Priest : Living After Midnight" riffing going on .-)

  • Monster Magnet are turning into Mindwarp

  • I remember of Monster Magnet when i was listen this,Before of read your comment.

Monster Magnet first songs are good.

don't you agree, or you don't like them?

  • I remember this as being a welcome relief to the true bad music of the time.

It seemed like a piss take, but was 100 times more thrilling than yet another Rick Astley #1.

  • The best lyricist of the whole genre.

  • didnt h go to the south pole with the bloke from klf

  • Blast from the past...still rocks balls !!!!

  • Can't believe there's morons moaning about it sounding like living after midnight. It's an obvious and natural chord progression that has been used numerous times before either this lot or Judas Priest used it, and will be again numerous times in the future.

Don't be so anally retentive all the time!

  • This video should have much closer to a billion views.

  • Interesting... Sounds like Alice Cooper in the 80s.

  • Feed my Frankenstein was written by Zodiac Mindwarp.

  • Actually, it was CO-written. It's a contribution from both artists.

  • fuck yeah...sleaze rock for ever.

  • yeah you spot on!

  • they ripped the opening riff off of judas priest's livin after midnight

  • 212 comments and nobody mentions the Marc Bolan references????

  • I thought I did. Mention other artists in your music is great.

  • fookin love this vid....jesus it takes me back....solid gold love in a rat skin fur!!!!

  • Is it just me, or does the singer look like a homeless version of Kip Winger. Also, has anyone noticed that The Darkness pretty much ripped this off? "A thing called love" has the same beat, spaceship, tone, etc.

  • At least since mid 1990s bands have ripped off others big time

  • I have been thinking back about this video lateley. The quality sucks, but it was great to see it again!!!! I like when the catholic girls get turned into rock n roll sluts!
