Darius is such a real amazing talent and so versatile musically. I remember him years ago when he was with Hootie & The Blowfish. I knew he was singing with country music and it's not surprising. Whenever he sings it's with real emotion and it's raw not contrived. I'm glad he's getting more recognition especially in country music.
I'm a very very proud Aunt of a soon to be 12 year old niece with Mental and Phisical disabiltys. I also am a very proud doughter of a Mother that teaches learning disabled kids it takes alot of pashionts some times but she has the pashints since she has raised 2 children with disabiltys and look at us now we are 37 and 25 years old shes great. I my self have learning disobiltys. all of us with some kind of disabilty big or small have a reason for bing here I just wish people would relize it.
i'm so proud to know and love so many children with development disorders. one of my best friends, Bailey Jones, is singing with Darius Rucker in this video (she's the one on the bottom right, with a close-up at 1:43. I'm so happy that this was on national television, bringing awareness to all the people in the world suffering from these diseases. Knowing Bailey and all the other children i work with is truly a blessing. I'm surprised at how much i can learn from these children! life is a gift.

The joy on the singers faces said it all. When the audience was shown, I noticed Taylor Swift looked almost disgusted. Those people on the stage are more beautiful inside than Taylor will ever be

Maybe she hasn't been around many developmentally challenged people, I don't know. She was uncomfortable, thats for sure. Just look at Carrie Underwood's and Keith Urban's reactions. You can see that they truly enjoyed it.

As a mother of a young youth with a developmental disability, I found this to be so heart touching. I applaude Darius Rucker for his hard work in making this song a success for others. This is an amazing way to bring disability awareness to everyone. In some way, everyone of us will be a parent, a friend, a sibling, or a mentor to someone who has a developmental disability. What an amazing performance!!!
I love the message in the song and the video. Also, you know how they say everyone has a twin out there somewhere? Well, I found mine! She its the dark brown haired girl with bright red lipstick and gold earings that is always right behind Darius' head. SHe looks like a younger me but me to a "T"! I am proud of her, whoever she is.
Great song - thank you for giving our population the opportunity to show off their abilities. I run "Just" People, Inc. a non-profit agency in Atlanta that provides support services to this population. We have found over the years that "Music is the universal language" is totally true. We have a Drama Club and just put on our 2nd production "A Tribute to Theater and Music", the group shined. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I have teared up every time I have listened to your song.
I have an 8 year old son with Williams Syndrome (20 of the 23 people on stage with Darius have this!) WS people (as well as many people with developmental disabilities) have such an affinity for music, it is truly amazing! I LOVED this performance and am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity these young people were given and how beautifully they were treated by all those that made this possible!!
My 8 year old granddaughter couldn't wait for me to watch this part of the 2011 Academy CMA show. We started watching from the beginning of the show, but she just couldn't wait so we fast forwarded to watch this together!! This is not sad in anyway as everyone in this world has something to give and Darius and these people gave us beautiful performance - they gave us their hearts!!!

It shows how much kid out there with autism are appreciated, you could tell on their face how happy they were to be up there and that's the most important thing of all. I think Chris Young and Brett James should be commended on working with these young people and writing the song with them, not just Darius performing with them. I saw video of Chris and Brett with this group as the song was being written, that was amazing in itself.
I am proud older brother of a 16 year old young man with autism. I love my brother, the children with special needs are truly gifted individuals. My brother has perfect pitch and plays whatever he likes on the key board PERFECTLY! He plays his favorite Disney songs all the time. It makes a guitar player like me jealous. These children are amazing, and have so much to give the world. All we have to do is be aware and listen.

As a mother of a young youth with a developmental disability, I found this to be so heart touching. I applaude Darius Rucker for his hard work in making this song a success for others. This is an amazing way to bring disability awareness to everyone. In some way, everyone of us will be a parent, a friend, a sibling, or a mentor to someone who has a developmental disability. What an amazing performance!!!

I love the message in the song and the video. Also, you know how they say everyone has a twin out there somewhere? Well, I found mine! She its the dark brown haired girl with bright red lipstick and gold earings that is always right behind Darius' head. SHe looks like a younger me but me to a "T"! I am proud of her, whoever she is.

Great song - thank you for giving our population the opportunity to show off their abilities. I run "Just" People, Inc. a non-profit agency in Atlanta that provides support services to this population. We have found over the years that "Music is the universal language" is totally true. We have a Drama Club and just put on our 2nd production "A Tribute to Theater and Music", the group shined. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I have teared up every time I have listened to your song.

I have an 8 year old son with Williams Syndrome (20 of the 23 people on stage with Darius have this!) WS people (as well as many people with developmental disabilities) have such an affinity for music, it is truly amazing! I LOVED this performance and am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity these young people were given and how beautifully they were treated by all those that made this possible!!

My 8 year old granddaughter couldn't wait for me to watch this part of the 2011 Academy CMA show. We started watching from the beginning of the show, but she just couldn't wait so we fast forwarded to watch this together!! This is not sad in anyway as everyone in this world has something to give and Darius and these people gave us beautiful performance - they gave us their hearts!!!

This song is so inspiring! What I liked about this is these kids are soo happy and grateful for everything. None of us know how easy we have things, until they are gone. They dont know how to be anything, but happy. I'm sure this song has touched so many people. & i agree this song needs to be available on itunes! :)

This song is absolutely amazing. It shows how much kid out there with autism are appreciated, you could tell on their face how happy they were to be up there and that's the most important thing of all. I definitely cried watching this video. You just gotta thank everyone with this song who gave those kids a chance to probably live their dream and right there it shows. THANKS!

I think Chris Young and Brett James should be commended on working with these young people and writing the song with them, not just Darius performing with them. I saw video of Chris and Brett with this group as the song was being written, that was amazing in itself.

I am proud older brother of a 16 year old young man with autism. I love my brother, the children with special needs are truly gifted individuals. My brother has perfect pitch and plays whatever he likes on the key board PERFECTLY! He plays his favorite Disney songs all the time. It makes a guitar player like me jealous. These children are amazing, and have so much to give the world. All we have to do is be aware and listen.

These people are more capable of showing love and have the lack hatred in there hearts than "ugly pieces of flesh" such as yourself have displayed. My son is 4 years old and was just diagnosed with Autism last January! What an inspiration those individuals are that sang and they did an outstanding job!! May God Bless them all!!
