It has been 14 or 15 years now.. I watched this movie countless imaginable time and will still watch it. Anytime. Among the most unforgettable movie for my life-time.
@rocknroller1986 You do know that the first part of the song comes from opera Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, don't you? Just thought I'd mention it in case you like this first part and is curious of the rest of it.
@TheKatherineCh I think so too - assuming you mean first part here not the first part of the mad scene from Lucia because I think the whole scene in Lucia di Lammermoor is beautiful. But here I agree.
@karablak1 You are right dubbing is soo silly. Its time the respected countrys too stop dubbing english movies into their own languages, english is not my first language. But i do know i learned my english by watching movies that are english. Maybe its because of dubbing the french and the german are struggeling speaking english just my 2 cents.
@toerikni Exactly, English isn't my first language either, nor do I live in an English speaking country, I learned English the same way (movies, TV series, games) and dubbing all of it is just butchering it, especially the good pieces. English is a beaufitul language and I'm glad I can speak it but I'm afraid the main problem with dubbing is that most people are probably too lazy or tired to read subtitles. National pride might have something to do with it as well.
@wangwenchaoa It's not a "theme song". The first part of this comes from opera Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti. The ending - the contemporary part - was written specifically for the movie. This is how it is in opera: /watch?v=Q3kzqzXHp2A
@karablak1 can you imagine most people of countries like France and Germany, have never had the pleasure of hearing such great voices as Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman or even Bruce Willis? I'm from Belgium, and thank God, we never dub anything down here! :)
watched this movie while really stoned and loved it, watched it again sober and ehhh not so special lol oh well

I remember seeing this scene in the film and wishing the plot and the silly fighting would just go away so I could listen to the blue lady sing.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER

This clip reminded me of two things:
1)Why I love this movie
2)Why I hate dubbing, in any and all of its forms, with a passion burning as hot as the core a collapsing galaxy

@Dextwoothree Reading subtitles is just annoying because you can't enjoy the art and acting of what the film is. Your too busy looking at letters.
parsleysprigs 2 months ago
@karablak1 I couldn't agree with you more in both of the points.
Dextwoothree 2 months ago
@karablak1 Well I think you have to know that this theme song is not natural. So matter of fact, this part is dubbed also.
