I'm actually inclined to believe the kid because he is constantly distracting his friend from the fact that his tie is missing.

First, he pretends to be going around back behind his friend and putting his hand on his shoulder.

Then he tells him to look into the camera and say something. He smiles because it's kind of a pointless task.

He also uses his own body to shield the tie as he walks back around to the other side.

Then he has him focused on the wallet and pen that he gives back.

You should work on your technique a bit more.

Unfortunately, it isn't that impressive when your friend is the one you are pickpocketing. Next time try using someone who doesn't know you are doing it, then it wouldn't look as stiff.

It does show 2 basic techniques. Pretending not to take something when you acually do (wallet), easy. Basic tie technique, which he really needs to work on. You cant continually be touching their upper chest without gaining some level of suspicion. Practice it until you can get the short end out in 1 or 2 tries.
