Depends on how thorough your safety inspections are? Where I was from, they never looked inside, but I kept the stock steering wheel to swap out just in case.
The steering wheel and adapter were from Grant. The installation kit for the older model S-10s will work on the the newer S-10s because the splines on the steering shaft are the same.
Depends on what you want to do. They are pretty easy to work on, but not a lot of aftermarket support if you want to road race or autocross. Most aftermarket companies sell drag race components or air bag suspension systems.
I have a s10 03 an im looking to make it flashy...there they have alot of after market parts. But like Devilboys said if you want to race with them then goodluck.
is it legal to change the sterring wheel like that wit no airbag will it pass inspection?

BeboAltizer 3 years ago
Actually it is a 2.2, but a V8 has always been on my wish list. It just hasn't been practical to do yet, in regards to time and money.

Grant sells kits for aftermarket steering wheels and adapters.

Hey, I was thinking about buying a aftermarket wheel like yours.
But I was wondering knowing it has no airbag, should i buy racing belts that have no stretch? reply on my page.
redrosecross 3 years ago
All the harnesses I know of won't have any stretch so you should have no problem.
