  • hahahaha nice 1 idol

  • i thought the third one was right!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • I wear mine like a Greek laurel- ..phone speakers above the tops of my ears with its bridge round the back of my head so I never really HAVE to remove / fiddle with them.

  • what is the name of the last track

  • @P1001AT2 thats what I was wondering too

  • seriously man lol....you the best

    practice and enjoy!

  • loooooooooooooool man u the best

  • Seriously man LOL I always thought it was funny how people made such a big deal about headphone placement. Its about where your comfort zone is, If you can hear the Tracks Whats the difference

  • its so funny when you say "IN OTHER WORDS " :-D hahahahhaha

  • at 0:12 made me roflcopter on the floor. bahahah xD

  • Right Brother!

  • yay

  • HAAHAHAH :D

  • how long have you been a dj for? cuz i wanna try this and hopefully get good at it :D

  • Guy in the video is cool ;)

  • okay i want to become a dj but i was wondering how u get the music playing from ur earphones to da main speakers...i watch videos of other dj's and i still havent figured it out....i knw its sumthing easy buuuut...i really new lol

  • @thekicker832 well step one your probably going to need a mixer...and those have multiple ports which you can plug turntables into...outlets to go to a speaker and a headphone port so its all seperate stuff.

  • @thekicker832 4 dat 2 happen u need 2 move the CROSSFADER which is on the Mixer..if the music u have on ur headfone is playing on da right turntable/cd player or software, move the CROSSFADER 2 da right, if its playing on the left side, move the CROSSFADER 2 da left(: hope dat helps

  • @thekicker832

this is joke right haha ... :|

  • hi im looking at buying a pair of cdj 2000's soon with a pioneer djm 2000, no amp but a set of active reference speakers. never been into mixing but love music and realy want to give it a go and only the best will do. do you have any tips, best places for down loads etc.

  • 0:06 LOL!

  • love the attitude, mad respect. thanks for posting the videos

  • this guy cracks me up!

  • 0:11 LOL

  • whats the last tune playing??

  • Well i usually like to keep them on both ears. They cover about 38db of voice so i can focus better and i can still hear the kick on the club speakers which makes it cool to beatmatch. Now if the clubs speakers are delayed, then im having a problem.

  • lol u look funny when putting the headphone on your nose XD

  • funniest thing ive ever seeeeen xD

  • wats the first track played??

  • crazy dude i would put my headphones like that maybe after 1:00 too many shots

  • split cue monitoring - left track through your left side on headphones or monitor speaker and right track through the right side of headphones monitr. cue pan - or pfl slider to the left is you can hear the left track on a cd on each side of the headphones. move the slider to the right and you can hear the track going through that channel on both sides. put the headphone monitor in the middle and you can hear both the live and the cued tracks on each end of the headphones.

  • correct me if im wrong with this...

  • lol @ 00:13

  • made me laugh, made my day

  • you are soo likable, keep on producing tutorials!!!

  • ahahahah headphones on the face. that was hilarious

  • what an incredibly pointless video

  • lol this one was coooool, man!

  • HAHAHAH :D, man I love you, you're a great teacher!

  • lol

  • for the record there is actually a reason to do 1 ear on 1off or both on. when doing the initial queing process of beatmatching turn on only qued headphone volume and kill bass and crank high to get a very clean loud snare hit. drop it listen to it through 1 headphone while u listen to playing track through moniter. you will be able to distinguish the 2 much easier. headphone on all the way for final mixing when the tempo is correct. this will avoid latency issues when doing it phones only.

  • This guy speaks the truth.

  • haha thnx for clearing the air up on that one

  • hahahaha lol !

  • fuhneeeee!

  • haha loooooooooooool

  • lol so funny

  • hahahaa

  • he could actually smell the sound like that ^^

  • which is last song?

  • Comment removed

  • Enzyme black -Take it

  • HA HA HA! Thats some funny stuff.

  • that was funny. When I dj I have my headphones on both ears pretty much 95% of the time. i like to hear the mix so i can correct galops before the crowd can hear them

  • Any1 know the name of the 3rd song played on the vid? BTW this vid was funny lol

  • dunno, but good beat

  • Funny as hell man! You have 1 way of teaching, the best way :D If only my school teachers were like you!

  • Oh my god... that was just too freakin hilarious!!!

  • Depends if you have your monitor in your right or your left

  • ahaha!!

  • HAha nice vid. made me smile=)

  • i cant believe there are people who are unsure how to wear headphones, surely people who havent dj or had ne envolvment should know that.

  • u have no idea..some people still wear left side on right ..

  • true..true.. :|

  • Never realy thought about it. Thanks for the info. DJ FRANKIS

  • lol @ :05

  • I never gave it much thought u know? But I like his easy going approach.

  • Too true. Everyone is unique!

  • When he had them over his nose I almost spit out my coffee. I like one on one off but whatever works mate.

  • nd since this is about headphones is it ok if i hear more out of one ear then the other cuz idk its weird like i said below

  • that means one side is messed up.

(this is from pulling your headfones out of the jack by the buds.)

    =O

  • no i pull em out by the peice you put into the headphone jack

  • i use my headphones with both on and sometimes with 1 headphone covering my left ear and my right open cuz i hear more out of my left ear for some reason and not my right but eh

  • OMG I fell out my chair!

  • LOL LOL LOL hahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha:D sooo funny:D

  • Jonathan is hilarious

  • I know this is a fucked up question, but why use headphones when your hearing the music anyway out loud ? Im not really a dj and i dont know much about it but i've always wanted to know..

  • You wanna hear how a dj cue's op his next track? Now that's gonna be fucked up ;). Also not every dj booth has decent monitors (or none at all) and there is usually a bit of a delay on what the crowd hears, you don't have this delay in your headphones (or monitors for that matter)

  • it dose matter really you get diferent instroments and synths playing threw both ears

  • Hahaha :D hahahaahaha lol that looks cool

  • Oh man I laughed out loud at 0:11.. thanks jonathon :D

  • I laughed too, haha. That was great.

  • WOW so you can not only hear the music...you can also smell it! Incredible! LMAO

  • have any of you guys seen the new WeSC Alp Horn headphones? they're mad!!

  • You used to be able to get DJ Telephones in 2003, they should still be available now, instead of headphones. As I'm a home DJ, I don't bother with headphones often, I just use the main sound coming out of the speakers as my cueing source aswell.

  • I don't wear them... They just hang around my neck...

  • u're right J!

I can only add suggest to don't turn the volume too high when u have ur earphones on both ears!

  • why?? i have them both on my ears

  • good answer

  • Song at the end is ill. What is that?

  • You are such a nucking futter sometimes.

Yeah, I tried listening with my mouth and it didn't quite work out for me.

  • I do both one ear and on both..... depends on the track i guess.... mostly I have my headphones on both ears but changes it around sometimes to the right one only or the left one only.... that make me weird? ROFL

    Practice & N'joy!

  • It's not weird at all. Sometimes I use the left, sometimes the right, sometimes both. My headphones are always around the back of my neck though. I don't like to get headphone hair (a big line through the middle of your hair) ahah.

  • what's the name of the last song? :D

  • enzyme black - take it (club mix)

  • LOL Johnathan, 'Seven Drunken Nights'!!!

    CHOOOOOON!! =)

  • been at the jack dniels again i see J :) lol

  • ok so im trying to get some better CDJS so what do you think i should get 2 Stanton C314s or 2 Pioneer CDJ 200's??

    p.s 1 Kam KCDJ130 for £100 message me

  • 2x Stanton C.324's-FOOLPROOF and look at that price tag!

  • just so long as you have mp3, fx and a loop function you are fine. i have used the 200's and they are good quality. j

  • hmm its a hard decicion i think im gonna go with the stantons cus i preffer the look of them

  • you stated 2 LMAO just get the 1 :P

  • Some interesting information on how our ears interpret sound, that other DJs may be interested in: "...recent studies have shown that our ears play a more active role. In fact, sound processing seems to begin in the ears. And since the right ear channels sound to the left-brain, it's the right ear that's strongest in processing speech like sounds. The left ear, meanwhile, is dominant for music and similar sounds."

  • hmm, interesting! i actually cue using my right ear...

  • offtopic:

did you remove your styleflip sticker from your mixer?

    if yes, why?

  • He didnt, he got the Styleflip on the DJM-800, here hes using the DJM-600
