  • daaaaaamn, sweet base :P

god i wish i could paint lie kthat. Currently my skill is painting the minis chas black and giving them green edges on armor and stuff......

everything else I cant seem to do

  • @zerga303 You CAN paint like that. There is no great skill there, just a bunch of tricks and things. Once you know those you can paint anything you want. I bet you can do one better than mine. Thanks for the kind words.

  • They look amazing!

  • @ScorpiusCentaurus Thanks

  • you can use gloss varnish for the lava, then shows bright light...

  • wow they look good

  • Great work looks very effective . Thanks

  • tutorial please.....

  • Have you considered using a light coat of water effects to make the lava look wet or more molten.

  • @nithia I hadn't considered that before. Thanks!

  • @Shiznaft1 if you try it you will defiantly want to brush the water effects on and not pour it on, but i would also do a test base to see how it effects the paints you used and to see how much or how little it changes the colors. because even using a small amount of water effects can cause the original colors to not appear quite the same. Not like changing the colors but they just don't show through that well. Also i would spray a matt coat over the area so it dose not re-wet the paint.

  • this this this this is

  • Very nice job. I specially liked the reflectionlight you painted on from the lava. Just an idea if you want to paint more lavabases, instead of lavaflows you could paint some red cracks crossing the landscape of the base :)

  • look very good man good job

  • Whoa...how did I miss this channel?

    Subscribed.

Fantastic job mate, I'll have to give this a go some time; maybe when I start my Daemons.

  • Thanks!

  • You should put the Kawasaki "Vulcan" logo and name on it, I would say Harley but Vulcan was the god of blacksmithing and he lived in a volcano, so it totally fits.

  • nice job with the lighting effects they look really good. thx for all the good videos so far i just started a chaos army about 3 weeks ago and your videos really help. keep up the good work mate!

  • hiya dude can you tell me how yu made those please

  • Great job mate. How did you paint the light did you drybrush?

  • Thanks! I did dry brush, I just started with the cooler color red and moved to yellow lower down.

  • fking cool

  • sweet but when you glue the biker to the base you should put lighting effect on the biker himself from the lava would look sweet :D

  • You lost me. What's the point of what? Buy what Game? Are you talking about Dawn of War? If so, that game is an adaptation of a TableTop Game (i.e. utilizing miniatures) and I did buy the game. That is what inspired the miniature army. The tabletop game came out in the eighties and has been going strong for a long time. That is the point of that.

  • yea i rember some game like that n u had like little metal figures or somthing but like wat do u do with em do u play people or u just look at them

  • It is a turn based strategy game. Each person places their army on the board and then the figures move according to their rules and then they shoot (resolving hits and misses with dice). "wounded" models are removed from the board the games last from 5 to 7 turns with each player acting in each turn. Then at the end of the game a winner is determined based on the conditions of the "mission". The models are metal or plastic and come unpainted. Part of the hobby is painting the figures. That help?

  • cool thx bro :)

  • asome

  • Dumb question, in GW terms - what paints would those be?

  • Yeah, I agree with him.

  • I wish I knew. I don't use the GW paints. There are color charts out there that will show you the equivalent color in Reaper Vallejo and GW... I just can't remember them. Try google with like "GW to Reaper color chart" There is also a tool that shows the colors, again can't remember...

  • Yes, lol footer0 is my alternate account so yeah. Thank you.

  • you are awsome

  • You are my Leader, i love your works, i do a dark angel army, barly started and i needed some painting advice, thanks to your paint tutorials i have that. THANK YOU!

  • That's awesome dude, nice job :D

  • That is a great idea for the bases. The lava looks good.

  • Frikin awsome!

    (kinda looks like Ghost Rider....)

    JK

  • Those are properly done, thanks for uploading.

  • great bases!

  • thanks

  • dude sick! how did you paint the lava

  • Base coat Blood Stain then blend clotted red into it then add layers of "hotter" colors as you move toward the hotter parts. So go gradually from deep red/black "coolest" to white "hottest", as I have learned from my fellow YouTubers it is best to ad lots of random hot and cold spots, but try to make it logical, that is to say lava 'flows' so make it follow a winding or meandering path...

  • wow! i thought my eyes were playing a trick on me it looked so real!!

  • From what i can see it looks next to flawless. A person already commented on how it needs to be varied. At the moment it looks like superheated plasma like from youe earlier vid with the dead marine. See if you cant give it a more earthy feel, after all its molten rock. You could always try sticking small peices of 'rock' into the larger sections of lava to show some of the coler stuff is floating on the surface. Really good basing however.

  • Excellent suggestion. I have a TON more bases to do so I will definately try that out, thanks!

  • looks like the ghost rider or something.

  • nice source lighting, looks good

very nice lava i love it

  • WOW! Truely amazing job! Please , keep up the great work! I'm realatively new to miniature painting, I hope to eventually be at least half as good as you!

  • I just got started. You will definately be as good as me if not better. I did a lot of reading and research prior to painting. Read a lot of threads on the Warseer project forum...etc.

  • wow that is really good man!! the only possible thing i think you could do to make it better is to make the lava have a little bit less yellow ( a little more red tones) and occasionally in the lave make it so that there is splotches of colder lava (because lava is never a perfect range of colour) in the hotter lava

    THAT IS AWESOME

5/5 good job man that lava is Intense!!!

  • Great Comment! I noticed that as well and tried to rationalize it by saying, it's more liquid over there... uuuuhhhh or somthing. You are right though I will need to develope more comfort with the technique and than I think I can create a more varied effect(i.e. more realistic. Thanks!

  • Bowser: its in the vides erliar

  • wow

  • That light sourcing looks kick ass!

    Keep it up dude!

Are you gonna stick the bike on it now?

  • how did u make the bases? :)

  • Checkout the earlier vids

  • so cool ^^

  • The lighting on the rocks is brilliant! Great job

  • wow nice larva, works well!

  • Thanks
