I remember finishing 1942 ( and like one guy said, it's the same engine, as are a lot of games) on the nintendo and all it said was, "CONGRATULATION". Not even an "S" on the end! But it was fun, and so was Gunsmoke. Would never have gotten that far without the ability to save games vs. a quarter to keep it going!

You kids today make me LOL, you have no clue how tough arcade games were to crack back in the 80`s. This was just another hard addictive game with no save points or easy mode.

I could routinly make to level 10 (Wingate family) & score around 1 million points, on just 10p with no continues. But only ever finished the boss twice.

Played it again years l8r on PS1, but the level select & easy modes just diluted the experience for me.

If i knew how to upload on here i might u kidz how its done

I used to do it on one quarter in the arcade..you have no idea of dedication till you try to do that..the table top did not allow continues. So I worked for months and finally did it. Its a 100% memory game. Short of that...never beat it.

De los mejores juegos creados en los años 80. Sin duda. Y de los más difíciles. Te exigía gran concentración y arrojo.

Recuerdo que la etapa más dura y larga era la del Indio Piel Roja.

I am now in my late 30`s & had a mispent youth down at Barry island arcades whereby i completed several games like kung fu master, Rygar, Commando, but by far the hardest of all was Gunsmoke. So watching this clip is laughable as the 1 thing you have 2 do is stay as close to the bottom of the screen all the time as once they get behind you they always shoot you. Also watch how far the bullets travel once fired, on the arcade they kept going until they hit you or went off the screen, not 2 inches

This is the hardest game ever created.Nobody can finih it unless ofc he spends 1000 pounds continuing.I ontinued about 100 times just to get pass the indian stage which is the hardest.And i played it on an emulator ofc:D

Asi cualquiera derrota a los 3 hermanos. Te dire la clave para matarlos:

1.- Matar al primer hermano de la izquierda era facil, solo habia que subir y dispararle cuando aparecia.

2.- Si llegabas con caballo (suerte) era mas facil ya que subias y rapidamente matabas al hermano de la izquierda y con lo que te aguantaba el caballo matabas al de la derecha. O bien sin caballo lo matabas de la misma manera que al hermano de la izquierda

3.- Al guaton habia que disparale cuando se paraba.

I could get right up to the end on one coin, could kill the two side brothers with the rifles, but that middle brother with the scatter gun, I could never kill him. Those henchmen running around behind you always picked me off, whilst the Boss remained immune to being hit lying on the ground
