@ChampionHorseLover Jumping bareback is actuly alot easyer than ud think... well it was for me but ive been riding for like 5 or 6 years but im not that good bareback. My horse loves jumping so i just let him do it and held on for dear life but it's pretty easy. (i almost fell the first time because my horse is a ex jumper so he likes so pretend he's jumping 4 foot again instead of a lil cross rail, soo we did a really fast canter thn galloped after the jump -_- )

For all the people who say it isn't 6 feet wide, look at the horse. An average horse's body is six feet long. From the shoulder to the rump of the horse, the jump is longer. So it is, in act, 6+ feet wide.
well, i'm getting a 14.2hh appy mare bred for a famous showjumper, but she would not take it as a bounce, if you didn't want it to be a bounce ;P
She was expensive but may be worth more when in the end i'll be selling her. Nice jump and position. not sure i'll get her yet, going to test her out :)
She's called 'White Hawk Zee Dot Com' lol, i know, long name, i'll shorten it to White Hawk as her stables name and the other for a show name probs :)
@AlwaysLovingStorm- considering the pony is likely more than 4 ft long...& the jump spread is wider than the pony is long...I'd say it's likely that the spread is pretty close on 6-ft. Nicely done. But your set-up doesn't look particularly safe for either of you. You have a nice pony. Single rail, white jumps near the same height are very difficult for the pony/horse to accurately judge a spread. He's very scopey and has a cute little tucked hunter frame going over. You look quite nice too
I was jumping my mare Sadie once, and she ran up to the jump really fast and then she didn't jump it so I did a front flip off her. I didn't jump with her for about six weeks, then I gained my confidence back again and took a chance, and she jumped. I don't think that will ever happen to you!

@sandyandmarshalive well, actually u can do it as long as u arnt very heavy, but agreed, there is still a high chance of some1 gettin fucked up, i use a stableblanket and a witherpad when i do barback jumping (also she needs splint boots and bell boots)

that awesome! this is not dangerous the horse would refuse if it thought it might not make it and the owner would never of made it that big if she thought the horse could not jump that
I think the reason people are saying it is dangerous is because the jumps are not actually proper jumps, and if the horse came down on the back pole, then it might be dangerous because unlike proper jump wings with breakable/collapsable cups, the pole might not "fall" properly, causing injury to the horse- and I see where they are coming from, as personally I would not jump something like this (not because I'm scared, but because I prefer jumping proper fences rather than poles on chairs)
she obviously knows wat shes doing. if she didnt, then it might be a little dangerous, but clearly shes a great rider and would never do anything to put her horse in danger. awesome jump btw!! uve got a little super pony there!! :)
@pugz1116i agree but actually it is different for the horse because its harder for the person to get off the horses back and is apparently "bad" for the horse. but i don't follow that. i love riding bareback! and yes she is a great rider!

well done thats amazing !!! I accidently jumped really wide .... after jumping htrough a triple bounce several times nicely she jumped the last to jumps, as one !!!! very scary !!!

that awesome! this is not dangerous the horse would refuse if it thought it might not make it and the owner would never of made it that big if she thought the horse could not jump that

I think the reason people are saying it is dangerous is because the jumps are not actually proper jumps, and if the horse came down on the back pole, then it might be dangerous because unlike proper jump wings with breakable/collapsable cups, the pole might not "fall" properly, causing injury to the horse- and I see where they are coming from, as personally I would not jump something like this (not because I'm scared, but because I prefer jumping proper fences rather than poles on chairs)

she obviously knows wat shes doing. if she didnt, then it might be a little dangerous, but clearly shes a great rider and would never do anything to put her horse in danger. awesome jump btw!! uve got a little super pony there!! :)

@pugz1116i agree but actually it is different for the horse because its harder for the person to get off the horses back and is apparently "bad" for the horse. but i don't follow that. i love riding bareback! and yes she is a great rider!

there are so few good riders i see nowdayyss and you're one of the rare few :') yes people can ride but yu have amazing balance and seat to sit that. i know how hard jumpss are weather they're high or widee. well done really good job. btw anyone who wantss to have a go at her go ahead but you'll get ALOT of 'intense' emails from me if you do. so well done :) xxx
