I shared your video on my company's Facebook page (Scrubs Giant) and will do it for their Twitter page, @ScrubsGiant soon. Thought it would be perfect to share with our nurse followers!
Would you be able to do a video on prioritization and delegation? Is there like an easier way for someone to figure out what can I do first other than the obvious ABCs? Thanks so much!! I really enjoy your videos!
I have participated in the interview process with the managers several times. Some of the questions we ask are: Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs? What are your strengths/weaknesses? Why did you want to work for this particular hospital? Do you know or are you aware if the hospital's vision/mission statement? You get big points for this one if you are right. How do you deal with difficult patients? These are questions we always ask. Hope this helps.
We asked our nurse manager the other day what he hates to hear potential employees ask while they are interviewing. The 1 thing our manager harped on was while asking about salary is important, it should not be the main topic of the interview. If interviewees only ask about salary, it alarms the interviewer. He recommended for those interviewing for a job to ask other questions first and let the salary be one of the last negotiations.
How did you answer those questions?
am gonna have an interview next week and am nervous as hell...
btw its my first nursing interview..
