@TheBilli96 WHY?! Sonic would be SO boring without a good gimmick. Come on, if Mario did these gimmicks, fans would love it, yet Sonic gets hated. Sure, the Sword was only decent and could've been better, but it was fine and didn't take away from the speed of the game. And the Werehog is basically mixing the combat of God of War into a Sonic game (by taking away "magic" and adding more physical moves) in the next gen version. The gimmick games are awesome.

I agree that Sonic is stupid without gimmicks, but Mario is fine without them. Mario revolves around platforming, which is ground to stand on. Sonic revolves are a since of power (running 200 mph), which is not enough to stand on.

It's become "cool" to hate on Sonic apparently. But I really love this game as well and still play it to this day. This level is still one of the greatest moments I've witnessed in a Sonic game. Here's hoping that Sonic 4 is good, and that they will one day return to the Hedgehog Engine.

@Tailsilver The day levels were great at the beginning. The game slowly became shitty and frustrating. You had to go a little bit through he level and memorize it. There were cheap ass drops and offs that would kill you instantly and then the influence of speed was ruined when a wall was coming up and you didn't know to act on hitting B to slide under it. I was a good game, don't get me wrong, just it was more frustrating than fun, and the Gaia Giant you use at the end sucked in controls.

i got it for ps2, i really cant find anything AWFUL with it, although the werehog levels are a bit repetitive and frustrating. the wii is capable of reaching the same speed as the ps3 version just without the same graphics , Wii version is not an 8 GB Disk their for they Downgraded the stages (I.e creating whole new stages diff from the ps3) badly becuase if sonic was Too Ultra fast in the Wii Current Stages it will end in 1 minute and Sonic Team can't put their Stages into a 4 GB becuase they are long, How ever Their are types of disks unfortuntly no game creatpr uses that are equal 8 GB and wii can run them.

The Wii version of unleashed uses 4 GB of a Disk Space it uses Disks named single layer which are supported by the wii.

Wii also supports disks named dual layer giving it mroe disk space (8 GB).

More Disk Space = More contant.

The hedgehog Engine is a graphic Engine NOT a speed Engine and since Sonic the wii version doesn't support that High Graphics the hedgehog Engine Requires its not enough for it.
