@sk8bow This starts with getting the basics of ball contact and angles. Search for keywords like 'pool'+'angles' or 'triangular' here at YouTube. Then you'll get the basics. Later on you build an understanding for what happens to the angles when you put draw or follow on the cue ball. It's a ton of practicing for perfecting this, but I have to say the Phillipines always amazes me with their creativity. I can't think of any country who would think of the nine there, because there are none imho.

for television purposes, they use the pink ball because the purple ball is similar to the 2 ball.

and the number of racks vary from competition and the round number.

early rounds = less racks.

He hit the 1 first, if he hit the 7 first, the 7 would not have traveled straight across the table. It would have went toward the top corner pocket, cause of how close it was to the 1. He hit the 1 then the cue slid into the 7 moving it straight along the head string.
