Also, the tv ad only shows the positive comments, and none of the negative ones after the people used "Mojave." The computers that they used in the experiment were better than the average Household Computer. Microsoft made a crappy and buggy operating system, and are prepared to spend millions of dollars to cover that up.

Windows Server 2008 is better than both XP & Vistas, although you have to install most of its components manually. It's well worth the work, however. Mac is ok... i just don't like how the UI is set up.

No, the xbox 360 elite dosnt. What causes the "Red Ring of Death" is the xbox 360 pro (The white one) has an older chip inside that was over heating and melting onto the motherboard. So with the xbox 360 elite, they swapped the chips from an older version to a newer model, 65nm (Falcon). That chip is less likely to get the rrod, but the reason you DO hear about people's elites getting the rrod is that they over play it. 20+ houres a day = no life, so dont worry about it.

If you have to buy new components with your new operating system, it's already failed the first test....system requirements, resource management, and optimization.

Perhap's some people have better luck with Vista, but I assure you that they will have problem's with some thing in the near future. Why do you think so many bad thing's are said about Vista? Do you think somebody just woke up in the morning, and said, "I have the greatest windows in the world, but I think I will bash it today for no reason."? most of the problems i've heard with vista were the early compatibility problems and the prompts... the prompts are easily disabled, and the compatibility issues were more or less solved within about 2 months of release... i've been using for a little over a year now, and i'm extremely pleased, definitely no complaints...
Vista has its fair share of problems, but I believe that one of the main constributers to the fear of using vista, are the Mac-fanboys, that just say its bad, and tell ppl of all the worst cases windows has had. I think your comment is a trick! I AM CURRENTLY USING WINDOWS VISTA SP1 ULTIMATE, and can tell you first hand IT DOESN'T SUCK! XP was great but it's eight years old now and the way it was designed no longer allows full benefit from today's newer technologies. Vista on the other hand does, which makes it great if you're on a system that can meet Vista's requirements. Something from the time XP came out however, would be hard pressed to run an operating system made for today's technology.

They take XP user's, and show them all of the wonderful thing's about Vista. This is an honest question from someone who knows very little about operating systems. I'm running Vista. I see a lot of comments saying "Vista just looks good, that's the only reason people get it" and it's primarily from Apple users. I want to know, what is it that draws so many people to Apple, because last I thought, it was because it "looks good", but I've never heard more than that, besides the inane ramblings of people that know even less than me. Because OSX (Apples operating system) looks cool and you can make fun of other people, that's the only reason most people like it. If you are only doing simple things surfing the web, writing letters, etc., both Windows and OSX will do fine for you.
Some people say OSX is more secure. But that's only because only such a low number of people are using OSX. OSX and Windows have pretty much the same level of security, but the hackers only focus on Windows.

For the majority of people, preconfigured Linux boxes with perfectly supported hardware does anything anybody needs. It's even *easier* to find and install software via Synaptic for example than it is on Windows or Mac. And anything one wants is free of charge.. :)

Thank you for coming up with a logical explaination. Most of the times I get stuff like, "Cuz Mak iz ful of WIN" or "iPod FTW!" I personally like Vista, but admittedly, I do very little besides surfing the web, checking email, pictures, videos, and all the basic home pc stuff, with a little bit of the business end for my jobs. My $600 Dell Inspiron 1525. Pretty cheap. It's copied from dxdiag and I hope I didn't give too much away. I run on 2 processors, can't believe it's not default. And can load high qual vids w/ no wait time w/ beefed up Firefox. Vista's good, but isn't there something newer I can up to?

Oh my god, I have those exact same specs! The only difference is that I use Safari. I think Safari is by far the fastest web browser on Windows!

If you have to buy new components with your new operating system, it's already failed the first test....system requirements, resource management, and optimization.
Those things should get better....a fuck of a lot better....not worse.

Perhap's some people have better luck with Vista, but I assure you that they will have problem's with some thing in the near future. Why do you think so many bad thing's are said about Vista? Do you think somebody just woke up in the morning, and said, "I have the greatest windows in the world, but I think I will bash it today for no reason."? If you have not had a stupid no sense problem with Vista, than you will someday. ;)

most of the problems i've heard with vista were the early compatibility problems and the prompts... the prompts are easily disabled, and the compatibility issues were more or less solved within about 2 months of release... i've been using for a little over a year now, and i'm extremely pleased, definitely no complaints...

Vista has its fair share of problems, but I believe that one of the main constributers to the fear of using vista, are the Mac-fanboys, that just say its bad, and tell ppl of all the worst cases windows has had. Vista works for me, its hasn't worked the best, but with up to date hardware and software, you won't have a problem.

Yes, with ridiculously expensive hardware that's steadily been improved over the last decade, you can run Vista. You could run any bloated piece of malware-infested crud. Not impressing me.
If you need at least 2 gigs of RAM just to run your operating system without any hitches, it's probably a problem with it hogging system resources.
Yes, the Mac fanboys suck. Yes, Mac sucks. But quit kidding yourself. Hardware inflation doesn't equate to a good operating system.

In the first place, who the hell cares about the operating system? The first thing I do when I get a new computer is delete most of what's on it, and tweak the OS so it runs the way I want it to. The OS shouldn't be cute or fancy, it should be unnoticeable. If something works, leave it alone. There is no sensible reason to come out with a new OS every 20 minutes. Incidentally, these ads are bullshit. The old guy is told twice, by two different people, that this is actually Vista.

vista does't help my sistem much more than a good xp with everything i need on it...dx 10 is just a crap, i experienced it with games and it sucks, bsod ruined my day and my dual core pc with vista is like my old p4 3ghz with xp...where is the improvement ? :|

I think your comment is a trick! I AM CURRENTLY USING WINDOWS VISTA SP1 ULTIMATE, and can tell you first hand IT DOESN'T SUCK! XP was great but it's eight years old now and the way it was designed no longer allows full benefit from today's newer technologies. Vista on the other hand does, which makes it great if you're on a system that can meet Vista's requirements. Something from the time XP came out however, would be hard pressed to run an operating system made for today's technology.

The mojave experiment is a trick. I AM CURRENTLY USING WINDOWS VISTA SP1 HOME PREMIUM, and can tell you first hand that IT SUCKS! They take XP user's, and show them all of the wonderful thing's about Vista. They DO NOT tell them what's going to happen once they get it themselves, and program's just "Stop Working", and error's that make no sense begin to occur. People, Vista RIGHT NOW is HORRIBLE! Maybe in the future it will be better. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS!

Good point if I had a Windows Vista designer hold my hand and take me on a guided tour I would like it myself. Yet anyone who uses Vista in the real world like we do know about missing drivers, software being blocked and non compatability. And more crashes than a demolition derby. Take Vista and shove it up your Windows.

This is an honest question from someone who knows very little about operating systems. I'm running Vista. I see a lot of comments saying "Vista just looks good, that's the only reason people get it" and it's primarily from Apple users. I want to know, what is it that draws so many people to Apple, because last I thought, it was because it "looks good", but I've never heard more than that, besides the inane ramblings of people that know even less than me. I'd like to know specifics, please.

Because OSX (Apples operating system) looks cool and you can make fun of other people, that's the only reason most people like it. If you are only doing simple things surfing the web, writing letters, etc., both Windows and OSX will do fine for you.
Some people say OSX is more secure. But that's only because only such a low number of people are using OSX. OSX and Windows have pretty much the same level of security, but the hackers only focus on Windows.

For the majority of people, preconfigured Linux boxes with perfectly supported hardware does anything anybody needs. It's even *easier* to find and install software via Synaptic for example than it is on Windows or Mac. And anything one wants is free of charge.. :)
Just wait a year or two. Many, many large companies are beginning to sell preconfigured Linux. Dell, Lenovo, HP...

Thank you for coming up with a logical explaination. Most of the times I get stuff like, "Cuz Mak iz ful of WIN" or "iPod FTW!" I personally like Vista, but admittedly, I do very little besides surfing the web, checking email, pictures, videos, and all the basic home pc stuff, with a little bit of the business end for my jobs. I've always been curious about Macs, but I don't want to BUY one just to find out I don't like it. I'll have to borrow a friend's or something. Thanks again, educate9946.
