No I'm not being dishonest. How many women do you think know within a 5-7 week range that they're pregnant? How many do you think might need a week or two to save the money to get it done? With the laws already in place, like 24 hour waiting periods, and life itself, many women are only realizing they're pregnant about six weeks in when their period is 2 weeks late. When they figure how far along you are, they go 2 weeks prior to your last period. Do the math again.

I think you're simply unrealistic. For a woman to remove an embryo, she'd have to know she was pregnant right away. Some women have a period while pregnant, so even 8 weeks is cutting it close. The fact is that the constitution should concentrate on protecting the born before the unborn. More women die when abortion is illegal by using unsafe methods. A first trimester abortion is safer than a tooth extraction. Giving birth is 9X more dangerous.

Women can be late on their periods and not be pregnant. Should sexually active women be forced to buy a test everytime they're a week late because some extremists wanted to limit before the first trimester is even up? Abortions aren't cheap you know, I knew a girl who had to save for a month to get one. She just barely made it in the first trimester. The cost/risk would have gone up if she'd waited a day or two more.

That's not a choice I personally would make. Nor would I ever move to legislate what any other woman could do within her uterus. I believe rights begin with birth. I do agree with Lacey's Law though because it protects a woman's right to choose to gestate. It's safest to do in the first trimester, and that would be my own personal choice if I had an unwanted pregnancy.

I don't consider a fetus a human being. I consider it human, but since it uses the woman as a form of life support, I don't consider that a human being. I also don't consider the fetus to be a child. It's a potential child and no more. The woman could miscarry and then there will never be a child. To give the fetus rights is to impede on the woman's rights, and possibly endanger her life. That is unacceptable.

If you want to label Obama a "Marxist," then it would be necessary to label Palin a Fascist, because both are inaccurate caricatures of their respective ideologies. Abstinence only education IS stupid. If I hadn't had sex education as a teenager, I would have thought using 2 condoms was the best form of birth control! Teenagers don't know how to protect themselves unless they're taught. You can teach abstinence ALONGSIDE comprehensive sex ed and I'd be fine with that. No I'm not being dishonest. How many women do you think know within a 5-7 week range that they're pregnant? How many do you think might need a week or two to save the money to get it done? With the laws already in place, like 24 hour waiting periods, and life itself, many women are only realizing they're pregnant about six weeks in when their period is 2 weeks late. When they figure how far along you are, they go 2 weeks prior to your last period. Do the math again.

Those are done when circumstances are extreme. There has to be more than one medical opinion to warrant it as well. Republicans want to BAN abortion. I've never seen a pregnancy test for a buck fifty. If I did see one for that cheap, I don't know that I could trust its accuracy. Condoms break. No matter what, a sexually active woman, no matter her birth control CAN get pregnant. That's a fact. Periods are not always like clockwork, & you're adding undue burden to women by trying to legistlate something so absurd. Inalienable rights apply to the born & giving rights to a fetus takes away from the woman's rights.

And I disagree that giving rights to a fetus doesn't take away from the woman's life. Until there is a zero percent chance of death when going through pregnancy and labor, you are asking her to potentially give up her life. That is a choice she alone should make.

And i think that if possible, any abortion should be done only when it is an embryo, not an organism with a red blooded circulatory system. I think you're simply unrealistic. For a woman to remove an embryo, she'd have to know she was pregnant right away. Some women have a period while pregnant, so even 8 weeks is cutting it close. The fact is that the constitution should concentrate on protecting the born before the unborn. More women die when abortion is illegal by using unsafe methods. A first trimester abortion is safer than a tooth extraction. Giving birth is 9X more dangerous.

Women can be late on their periods and not be pregnant. Should sexually active women be forced to buy a test everytime they're a week late because some extremists wanted to limit before the first trimester is even up? Abortions aren't cheap you know, I knew a girl who had to save for a month to get one. She just barely made it in the first trimester. The cost/risk would have gone up if she'd waited a day or two more.

That's not a choice I personally would make. Nor would I ever move to legislate what any other woman could do within her uterus. I believe rights begin with birth. I do agree with Lacey's Law though because it protects a woman's right to choose to gestate. It's safest to do in the first trimester, and that would be my own personal choice if I had an unwanted pregnancy.

The answer is the majority of republicans vote to chip away a woman's right to choose, and just so you know, I wouldn't vote for a prolife democrat either. I don't consider a fetus a human being. I consider it human, but since it uses the woman as a form of life support, I don't consider that a human being. I also don't consider the fetus to be a child. It's a potential child and no more. The woman could miscarry and then there will never be a child. To give the fetus rights is to impede on the woman's rights, and possibly endanger her life. That is unacceptable.

I think the real reason prolifers try to limit abortion is because they're afraid that without the law, they can't hold to their own morals in a tight situation. I haven't had to push. I'm younger than Roe V Wade. I push for my rights to remain as they are without people trying to chip away at them. I understand the reality of pregnancy and how things aren't as simple as you try to make them out to be. I know I don't want to be a parent. There are plenty of conservatives who do not care for Sarah Palin and what she represents, who find her as vapid and vacuous as do liberals and are not afraid to say so. They may not hate her, but they are certainly afraid of her having a position of power and cringe every time she opens her mouth. Yes, I said conservatives. @jonesgerard It's all part of the political cycle, and I knew from the beginning the Democrat's would overreach and create a political backlash, but most of the reaction is due to a misrepresentation of policies (or outright lies) by talk radio and their ilk.. If you want to label Obama a "Marxist," then it would be necessary to label Palin a Fascist, because both are inaccurate caricatures of their respective ideologies. That said, popularity still is no replacement for qualifications.

Oh, Dennis. We knew all we needed to know about Sarah Palin within minutes of her speech at the Republican Convention. It's not her religion, it's not her beliefs, it's not even her politics.
