I agree with you, arfurlife. As a classical guitarist myself, I have always admired artists who can perform this song with beauty and passion. Kaori has come a very long way, and does so much more than just pull off this song with technical accuracy. Her tempo is perfect...I hate when people try to impress by playing this piece too fast; it kills it every time. She "sounds" like she loves to play "Recuerdos". Marry me, Kaori!

what i meant was i can only play this song slow, and on a good day it sounds not terrible(which is why ive yet to post my own version!) i also meant that its nice to see that a professional player chooses to play this at a moderate tempo which makes me feel a bit better about myself!!a lot of the stuff classical guitarists play seems well out my reach so its good to see something achievable by a mere mortal! but thanks for the sarcasm and swear word! vagina!

I agree; I think it sounds better played faster as the tremolo notes sound more like a continuous tone as opposed to groups of three 16th notes... But nevertheless it's very well executed; I'm sure you would agree.

It's not tempo which effects the quality of tremolo.

Good tremolo can be performed at pretty much any tempo.

The reason why hers sound like groups of three, is because she needs to practice it more.

I am aware that sounds pretty condescending and believe me when i say that I am of the opinion that she may well be the greatest living guitarist in the world today.

BUT>>

tremolo shouldn't sound like groups of three notes:

pluck pluck pluck - pluck pluck pluck - etc

It should sound continuous.

Some say she plays it too slow, too metronomic, without intimacy or passion. I say she plays it beautifully. In her own unique way. My favourite version along with Yepes..(who really does play it fast !) Two contrasting styles...two total, absolute masters. They make life worth living they truly do! magnificent!
