Once prophet Muhammed salla Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam saw a sahabi crying. The prophet asked him: 'Why are you crying?' The sahabi said: 'Ya RasulAllah, i don't want to enter paradise if I can't be with you.' The prophet smiled and said: 'You'll be in paradise with whom you love.' And when the sahabi heard that, he became so happy that he began dancing/jumping around prophet. And prophet just smiled.
Note: If this action was haram the prophet would say something, but he only smiled!

Mysticism takes different forms within different faith groups. Sufism is only one and it is attached to Islam. Kabbalism is attached to Judaism, while Gnostic is the mystical side of Christianity and Fakirs are attached to Hinduism. But mysticism goes way back in time to the Greeks with chanting, singing, dancing, "magical" rituals, even jerking and falling to the ground as we see here on YouTube. Once prophet Muhammed salla Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam saw a sahabi crying. The prophet asked him: 'Why are you crying?' The sahabi said: 'Ya RasulAllah, i don't want to enter paradise if I can't be with you.' The prophet smiled and said: 'You'll be in paradise with whom you love.' And when the sahabi heard that, he became so happy that he began dancing/jumping around prophet. And prophet just smiled.
Note: If this action was haram the prophet would say something, but he only smiled!
